Tournament Format
+ Show Spoiler +- Round of 64 is single elimination, everything after it is dubble elimination
- First map: BO1 or BO3 starting on MLG Metalopolis.
- Loser's bracket first map: BO3 on Xel'Naga Caverns
- Loser of the first game will always pick the next map.
- Each player is allowed one map veto per match.
- Maps may not be reused within a match.
- Finals: BO5 starting on Tal'darim Alter LE.
Tournament Rules
+ Show Spoiler +- Each player is responsible for their own time/account at the netcafe ($4/hour or $3/hour with membership). If you run out of time in the middle of a game, it is an automatic loss.
- Players must wear their name tags during the tournament.
- There will be NO walk-in sign ups. However, spectators are very much welcome.
- Players will check in from 12:00PM to 12:45PM. The tournament starts at 1:00PM and all technical problems should be resolved beforehand.
- No spectators are allowed in-game.
- Bad manners will not be tolerated.
- There are a lot of breakable doodads at the netcafe. You break it, you buy it.
Lag/Disconnect Rules
- If battle.net mass disconnects before the finals, all games will be replayed by default.
- If battle.net disconnects during the finals, the games will be replayed at the discretion of the hosts. A decision will be made with input from the audience.
- If there is an unplayable amount of lag on your computer, pause the game and ask a host to check the state of your lag. The game may be replayed if the lag is caused by the computer. Games will NOT be replayed if the player lags because they set the graphics settings to ultra/ultra.

IMPORTANT!!! READ THIS!!!
This is a StarCraft 2 Tournament
The first thing you do when you walk in is check-in with me! I will be holding a blue clipboard and will direct you to where you need to go. It is vital that you remember who I am because I will be the main person managing the tournament as it goes.
All players must check in with me before they start their match as well as report the results to me after the match. That way I know when a match is in progress and know when a victor has emerged. If you report results for a game that I was did not know was in progress, the results may be scrapped and the series will be replayed
There are a lot of changes between this event and the last, make sure you know what is going on
Do NOT be late
+ Show Spoiler +Check-in ends around 12:45pm. Make sure you are checked in with me as soon as you come in. Anyone NOT checked in with me by 12:45pm will be dropped from the tournament and replaced. Everyone on the back-up list is recommended to show up because there are always people who are late and you guys are the ones who will be replacing them. Even if you don't get spot in the tournament it is still a great place and opportunity to meet new players and make friends.

Do Not Offensive GG
+ Show Spoiler +Excessive BM and offensive gg'ing (gg'ing for your opponent) will result in a disqualification. No excuses, if you are reported for offensive gg'ing you will suffer the consequences.

The artist commission can be done at any time. I'll give them the logo and some ideas from the community.
The referrals actually require us to buy stuff. I waived the 5 dollar buy-in for people who bought something from our referral link. Essentially you'd be paying 15 dollars (plus shipping) for a t-shirt.

There's always the possibility of an online-only separate tournament, run in the same way, during the same time frame.. As if it were a parallel event for people who want to be seeded higher for the next instance of the tourney like this they join, whether it be online or at CC?

By the way, the organizers could do it this way. They PM you a name of who to play, but you don't know what part of the bracket you are, so people won't avoid going to the tourney to dodge the next game.

And you know what, this is smart. Cause if whoever sponsors us for that respective tournament, they will get definite sales back. That would even allow incentive for previous sponsors to sponsor us again.
I think this approach will help future cybercraft tourney's.

the computers did feel really sluggish today, but big screen is working fine
if the owner guy is there check with him, they mightve been changing lines and stuff and left the comp network on a slower line or something
cuz when i was there he changed the big screen connection to the T1 line

Yes, Dim Sum in the morning is going to happen if there are enough people that show up. These meetups aren't really about the tournament itself, since there are only a handful that can realistically win the whole thing, but the company and the food is an experience you can't miss!

If you want to play make sure you sign up using the sign up link in the OP (you may have alrdy, im not sure cuz i havent checked the list, if not go do so) Brackets will be generated the night before the tourney after most last minute drop outs decide to let us know Seeding will be given to the top 21 players in the sc2ranks division and the rest of the brackets are random to avoid bias (link is in the reminders post and note that the list isn't fully up to date atm cuz ive been busy) A decent number of people usually(no guarantees) go out for dinner after, never sure where we go before hand tho, lol Also there might be a chance where a few of us go to dimsum for breakfast before the tourney again cant be sure if it'll happen, but if it does, a post will be made in this thread Yeah I already signed up, im first on the backup list. UPDATE:
So i just spent the whole day at cybercraft testing the stream and fiddling with settings and im tired as hell
BUT the stream is now a justinTV stream with max quality of 720p
(however during the actualy event the stream will likely be at optimal settings of 480 )
Cybercraft has everything running with all lines up, lol and everything should be a go
assuming blizzards new patch doesnt mess everything up

I assume people want something different, something more competitive, and something that isn't like last time.
Last time it got kinda messy, sloppy, but it wasn't the organizers fault. The observers were playing BW on the main screen. No one watched any of the quarter/semi finals (possibly not THE finals), the internet was intermittent, and it became very relaxed. Oh, and the casters left (assholes).
Just wanted to let people know how i felt about zat one, as it's not a question of "loyalty" unless people go out of their way to say "CyberCraft sucks".
