Putting things so blunt as "THIS IS OUR HOUSE", "THINK BEFORE YOU POST" and "THOU SHALL RESPECT FORUM VETERANS" would make me me think this is somekind of gaybar with nerds that are compensating their lack of confidence and respect. [My own emphasis added] I look forward to obeying all rules and regulations, but I am not sure that this rules post is really helping the kind of people it seems to have been intended to, as it is quite long and probably will not be read by them. Those who do read it, the forum regulars and future intelligencia, may be offended by the generalizations of "RESPECT FORUM VETERANS" and "THIS IS OUR HOUSE."

A) the influx of new posters over the pat couple months, and B) as a written guide to the site. If someone chooses not to read it, not our problem. However, no one can now say they were not told. "Veterns" and "our house"? Thats just the way it is. With over 10,000 members registered, there is a definate hierarchy, like it or not.

In any case, we've still not resolved the issue with trite one-liners that apparently "contribute." Unless someone would care to explain how phrases such as "t.t," "I support [pro player] and hope he will win" and so on and so forth can enrich our community? If there is anyone that considers this "elitist" than I would tell them: would you rather please the elites or wallow with the illiterate masses? This would not be a problem if we had more funny jabs like the one above. "yes stalin" Haha! Thank you! Oh, and just to leave on a friendly note. Ya don't have to quote an entire post when you want to answer it. There is nothing I find more annoying than to scroll past a long quote just to read a one sentence agreement. It is far more effective to select the key points you wish to cite and reply to them point by point. Yes, this does take some skill and a bit of time. But more attentive readers will read your post more seriously if they see you write carefully. Not only will it stand out, but you might even impress a few people. (For a few seconds anyways). And for those who aren't sensitive to such things, let them "cleave to their own companions, and seek your own." This is not proscriptive, more of a life skill.

THis isn't rocket science, the forums speak for themselves, go read go post and obey the rules as you can. If you do anything too wrong I'm sure ppl will let you know all this whining about the exact definition of "contribute" is a dead-end. Don't be a moron and think before, after, and as you post. Thats all you need to do. If you get banned, then chances are you simply arent any good at thinking.

tzxmx: I am unsure what you mean by the cryptic "kk" and I would be pleasantly surprised if you graced me with an answer. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see what the admins will do if there were more posts like yours. Really not an issue right now. But I can almost picture a comical situation whereby entire topics-- neigh an entire forum-- would be devoted to such pithy messages. For instance, you would type a message with a cryptic "aa" and I would respond with an equally cryptic "bb." Or even better, why not simply "b"? Of course, this might follow under the purview of mensrea's Commandment "Write in English," but I'm sure you'll agree with me tzxmx that we should be granted our petty indulgences every now and then.

You've spammed your way up to 20 posts in what? 25 minutes? 30? This is the first one thats longer than one line taht ive seen. You have such classics as: "I hate carriers" "boxer rules" etc... You've read the rules. Follow them or be banned the first time an admin notices you continuing your retarded trend.

wehich is an important point. u shouldnt jduge a spam by how much effort goes into it, or how many words or sentences it has. u should judge it based on whether or not it's trying to participate in a discussion. if it's simply participating in a LIST OF ANSWERS and not a DISCUSSION it should be discouraged.. removed from site. etc.
