Yes, both are bad ideas. There will be two casters and the mic is going to be passed around.

if you show up early we can test the quality of it and see how it goes, if it doesnt interfere with anything and isnt in the way then there shouldnt be a problem with letting the laptop record output audio

only problem is it might echo cuz the casters are gonna be sitting up front by the speakers
cant be very good quality and theres gonna be cheering when stuff happens too
