Hey guys if you go to UofT or Ryerson and want to meet some fellow players, post here. I'm really friendly towards Toronto players and known by a lot of decent well mannered players through out Toronto. Leave some contact information and thoughts, but feel free to contribute any ideas to this thread
I'm not too adept with the York crowd but they have a separate team already I don't know too much about, but I'd like to see if we can start some sort of Toronto students club since I'm really close to two campuses of students.
I'm coordinating for the UofT CSL team if you would like to be a part of the team let me know. I welcome anyone to step up and start a Ryerson team like I help group together last year, I'm not sure if anyone has stepped up yet.
In the past I've held fun small events at the UofT campus and I'll let you know if there is anything I can do this year. I'm hoping to expand our Toronto based gaming!

I didn't realize what it was until after like 10 seconds and 10 seconds of walking in opposite directions is too long to not be creepy if I run after you. :D

Ugh, this makes me sad, I moved from Toronto to winnipeg right after sc2 release date for Med school. I was at UofT for 6 years for a Bsc and Msc. Maybe when I'm back during the summers I will catch up with you guys for a few games...
Also, Toronto is awesome, am I right? I mean, I've been to a few American cities, European cities and other Canadian cities (now in Winnipeg) and nothing is the same.

i would but i dont think i would be able to commit, cause i can't be up late doing random tourneys like the one yesterday night. plus i'd need to improve a bit, lol.

I set up a UofT forum here, feel free to share it with us, I posted the roster there. I'm too affiliated with UofT and really shouldn't be setting up the ryerson team. Maybe someone can take over and make a post and manage a roster for ryerson. I think its too late for CSL but definitely exhibition matches would be plausible, maybe even meet ups and LAN events!

Hi guys, the UofT team has been doing great, we've been hanging out at a few lans in Toronto. The GSL theatre event. We have a forum at firecaster.com/uoft feel free to register and introduce yourself there. Finals are coming up we're busy with a lot of work these few days, I'm pleased to announce that we're going to be featured in the Varsity with an interview friday! I'm sorry I've been really busy myself with school but I hope to plan some events shortly.
There have been a lot of players that join but just are not serious enough to play dedicated. I'm really looking for more than the casual player, although all are welcome, I typically find players that quit after a few weeks. The majority of the players that I talk with, and become friends with are the players that are 2200+. I'm really looking into a good 2v2 team right now, UofT really lacks in that category!
Anyways, I'm glad theres such an interest still in the UofT csl. If anyone needs me please add me online @ slained.778, or my msn ill_sue_you@hotmail (Please state who you are!!)
Edit: Theres going to be exhibition matches vs York and other schools around Toronto, let me know if you'd like to spectate or meet up for a nerd's day out!

I coached the Ryerson CSL team last year, but have since graduated. There was another person who was taking over the team for SC2 but alas I have forgotten who it was. Someone please remind me as I would love to help train the team or something. Also, I would like it if I had some decent players to practice with, I'm starting to feel kinda lonely without all the SC interaction I had last year with CSL.
Add me for games. I also come downtown to play at LAN's when I know about them. I went to the one which was supposed to be at YK but moved across the street a few months back so add me if you were there too. I know it's been a while.

I think most of them would. There aren't many in the downtown core though, most LAN centres are north of Bloor or much farther.
On another note, I think I'll be the first to suggest that everyone from Toronto join the Toronto channel on SC2 PTR. I think it would be a great place for Toronto and near-Toronto players to gather and share games. This new chat feature is exciting for our community.
