i can get a pretty good guess if someone is gay by first impression appearances, but the only way to know for sure is to ask or see what his interests are.

I don't think it's that sketchy, the evidence is pretty supportive of it and it's specific in that it matters how many previous male children the mother has had and doesn't seem to be affected by post birth environmental factors (i.e. having older step/half brothers (from father's side) doesn't affect it, nor does it matter if the younger brother is raised by the original family or if he's adopted, etc).
And yeah Sprouter, just because it increases the probability of a child being gay if they have older brothers, it's only a probability - there will still be older/only male children who are gay, it's just at a lower % than compared to younger brother's with older male siblings on the maternal side.

Its not a sketchy theory, it is supported by tons of data, millions of gay men surveyed to see if they have older brothers. The percentage of difference is extremely small, but statistically significant. It isnt like you can start up conversation with a random guy and tell that he is gay just by how many brothers he has.
