Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion. For regular posters, don't quote the trolls.

I think its pretty awesome that a game and TL can bring us all together to learn from each other and accept each other in a safe way and with an open minded dialogue. Keep it up guys and gals. It makes me happy to see a post like this, thank you ![]()

Was a way to let other gay men know that they are gay... Not a sort of way to when you finally admit you are gay within that you burst out and just want to act "fabulous" as a result to having held it in for so long... Ok so I am going to go on a limb here at say I generally don't like (can't stand) men that are gay and really just act like 15 year old girls all the time not just in tone but also in behavior!... Do you like just try and meet up with guys who act "fabulous" or do you sometimes just take a random shot at a man that looks nice but you don't know if he is gay or not?... Maybe both, just wondering. Ohhh and what do I say to refer to men that are gay... What word should I use? gay/queer both means something wierd does it not? I remember in tolkiens stories he always refered to wierd folk as "queer folk"... Then later a friend bought a copy and all the words with queer were replaced because of harmfulness it could bring to gay men...

Back when being gay was not as widely acceptable and there was no internet, people often try to act fabulous as a affirmation of who they are. It's both as a signal that you are gay and kind of a backlash to traditional male ethos... It's a rebellion phase. These days, most gay people generally act like everyone else unless they're some kind of performer. Those who still act fabulous mostly have friends from an older generation in which they emulate. I've talked to plenty of people about this...and all my spewing is from personal experience and dealing with other people. The correct term is gay or lesbian. LGBT identify themselves as such. Personally, I am not attracted to fabulous people. I think a lot of their motions are completely excessive. However, it is someone's right to express themselves. As long as it's nothing harmful to society, who the hell cares. Perhaps you should try to be more tolerant as well. Get to know one of these people on a personal level and you might find something surprising that you didn't know before.

But it really annoys me when its like hard to have a regular conversation... Sure its okay to be a homosexual and act as such, but when you are talking to a forty year old man and you can barely understand him... And he has nothing to say just like screaming into your face "I am gay" and you know sometimes its just to much...

I did not understand what you just said." The fact that you think he's "screaming into your face "I am gay"" seems more like an ingrained judgement on your part on what you think should be the social norm. There's nothing wrong with being 40 and fabulous. You need to be more patient and open to the fact that not everyone speaks and act like you.
