Madnessman, I take no blame.

hey guys
There have been quite a few Singaporean Starcraft Facebook Pages set up before and after the launch of the game but unfortunately ALL of these are inactive with no updates of the local events. So sign up! Because this page will try to cover all if not most of the local events as well as local and regional online scene!
www.facebook.com/starcraft.sg
go to the page and click "Like" or subscribe to it to get Singaporean SC2 News, Tournaments, Events and Information delivered directly into your Facebook Feed! Tournament event, news, organizers, etc. PM me if you want stuff added to the page. Alternatively, you can also PM me on the sc2sea forums, or post it up there or here on the community thread, as long as the admins get hold of it, it'll be posted up! Any idea who owns the twitter feed for twitter.com/starcraftsg, i'm interested in hooking it up so that the updates go both ways! contact me for further details

hahaha! given most singaporeans (the older generation's) stance on how gaming affects studies and all, the chances of it happening are almost zero :p.

well mindsets take time to change and its true that our conservative mindsets will take a damn long while to mold but just take a look at dota, we had a team in dota that honestly was at some point in time feared in the asia. let alone just "can compete at the national levels".
we just don't have the right sponsorships and people in place to nurture them.
anyhow, look forward to tournaments to come, there are wheels in motion to set up local tournaments to spice up the local scene! so you can do your part by spreading the word!

I didn't study much at all and still got into University overseas, so they're just being spoilsports.
I know it's the standard 'more hours = better' mindset though Same thing you see in the proteams with practice.

The day a singaporean reaches the RO16 of a major international tournament is the day i shave my body completely bald. Promise.
Edit: WCG doesn't count : P

ice will be the great Singaporean hope for that to happen, just you watch. if anyone can do it, he can.
|
how does WCG not count. nirvana's already got to the ro16 in 2001 or 2002.
also, starcraft (and other games) has been broadcasted on channel U before, back when the grand finals were held in singapore in 2005. it was more documentary style though, but there was some game footage.
