I usually park in the plaza, but people say they get tickets all the time. I've also used the phillip street townhouse parking lot as well, since they don't use parking passes or anything like that.
Doesn't everyone know the secret? You park at the plaza, then grab a bubble tea/coffee/yogurt/etc, then go change your courses. They won't ticket you, and you get a bubble tea instead of having to pay for parking. It might be less likely to succeed late at night, but there are some places that are still open (Farah's is open 24 hours a day, Pita Factory and Just'n Pita close at 4).

Should be able to show up. Anyone can give an idea of when people will actually be there? I'd show up a bit early if there was going to be any activity, probably.

edit: I think Phillip St. would be best. Park in the residence parking lot and walk over.
I live @ WCRI on Phillip St, you shouldn't have a problem parking here past 6 pm - 8 am, ircc they check between the morning and afternoon.
