solo hard lane timbersaw. Win the lane because reactive armor is op. start ganking with the mid. get a 15 minute bloodstone. gank for the trilane. Dive a tier one. Die because im the only one diving even though we had previously discussed the dive and agreeded on it. Mid and I gank some more. Get a streak going. Go back to said trilane and dive as we discussed before hand again. Die because no follow up. They tell me what to come back again to gank. Still the only one diving. Team asks me to gank again. (Fool me once shame on me but fool me twice shame on you). Don't do it. Team ends up losing the one big fight if the game because the carry is bursted down. They do a gg push mid. Im the only one with a tp. I defend ut well but not well enough. Team is late and dies. Somehow my fault. They win. In the all chat the carry tells them to report me for feeding. My score 1x-8-2x , his 3-10-2. They claim I never ganked.

If you queue a game knowing that you are going to spend long stretches afk, repeatedly disco and possibly abandon, you are ruining games as surely as if you were intentionally feeding or griefing your team. People have fun doing that too. Doesn't make it okay.

(metaforic you, not Targe you. I have no idea how your net is). I get having trouble with your net and discing from a game or two sometimes, its inevitable and happens to all of us. But if you know theres a big chance of your net going funky, disconnecting, bad latency or otherwise, you are intentionally going into the game to screw up your team. You're playing the odds. Sure there's a 50% chance this game might turn out no problem. Theres also the 50% chance your team is going to have to play 4v5. You deserve no mercy from all the shittalk anyone on your team can come up with if you do this. But not to be completely exclusive: I get that dota 2 is a really fun game, and that you still want to play it even if you're in a situation where your setup doesn't allow you. Have you ever heard about this mod called Defence of the Ancients on Warcraft 3? It really is a lot less punishing towards higher latiency. Of course that wont help against disconnects. If so, you should either try playing against bots (boring, i know) or you could find yourself a 5 man squad to play with. If they go into the game knowing theres a chance you might disconnect, the frustration is usually a lot lower. They'll also be a lot more helpful towards pausing the game for you.

You can find fun in losing but i have my doubts the other four people in my later example will find any fun in that.

No, you'd have the option to select for single queuers only. If you want to run the risk of being the +1 to a 4 stack you could still queue normal. The option wasn't on by default so 4-stacks just got teamed with someone who hadn't chose it. The lack of solo queue really is so crippling at the moment... :-\ On the topic of stacks...I was with a friend last night and we got queued 2+1+1+1 vs 4+1 so... *shrug* You'd have thought it'd at least be a 3-stack queued against that. Admittedly we crushed them but still. >_> On February 11 2014 03:55 KwarK wrote: My internet is doing that. You don't. Mine does that very occassionally. It'll be fine with super low ping for hours and then...boop. I'll start getting 3-second long latency and the DOTA2 counter permanently locked at 1000 ping. For me its rare (and not always when I'm playing DOTA), its random and consequently its something you just can't take into account when queueing. Its too rare to develop a coping strategy for.
