"If you're bad I'll farm for midas so I can win us the game", somehow I doubt people will react positively to that. To be honest people might be prone to throw an even bigger tantrum, I'd think his approach probably has a greater chance of success.

I actually think that you did the right thing there. Instead of waiting for the slow death, you might as well do something to help team to win back the game. I am saying this because I have seen too many carry players had nothing after we created like 10+mins freefarming period for him (your standard 'high level' dota2 mm games nowadays), more so if it was a 15+mins freefarming and he still has nothing. Like, dont play carry/X hero if he couldnt perform, the guy is basically taking a piss on the team.
Too bad I just couldn't do like what you did. I will just quietly do what i could and maybe drop a line like: 'please l2p X hero' if i got really upset.

Sometime these games.... random draft, my team picks zeus/doom/slardar/huskar vs death prophet/bh/shadow demon/undying.
So it's pretty obvious that the ennemy team is going to push a lot, and that we have to survive mid game if we want to do anything. So i have a choice between wisp and enigma in the remaining supports. I pick enigma because at least i have some antipush, and I can farm quick mek in jungle to defend against dp push.
But no, after I've called jungle and bought my items, Doom decides that he wants to jungle, calls me a retard (visibly he is in a stack), flames me etc... I end up giving up the jungle but somehow he doesnt go jungle anymore. Then when i come back to jungle he insults me again and wants to jungle. Slardar is soloing hard lane against undying/sd/dp but according to my team slardar is going to die to this trilane eventhough they have no stun at all...
So of course i'm pretty pissed, there is nothing more annoying than picking a support to help your team and getting flamed like this from the get go, and the rest of the team somehow thinks i'm in the wrong. Well long story short, I 'm pissed and and mute all of them. Give up first blood to bh because I play badly when I'm pissed. In the midgame i manage to get a couple of decent black hole that allows my team to win one or two teamfights, but it's not enough and situation gets out of control as we really cant stop the push with a midas on doom and me with no real items.
Also, according to my team I should have picked a carry and play him as a support and it was all my fault for picking a jungler after doom! Yep next time i'll pick riki going to work so well.
Never occured to them btw that one of them could have supported doom in lane, and that you need to adapt your lanes according to what your opponent is doing in this case a pushing strat ( i guess huskar could work with relatively low amount of farm, and he could zone out an offlane bh i guess, an afk midas doom was not going to come into play soon enough to do anything).
edit: one other crazy thought: some of them could have picked a support themselves, instead of taking 4 carries/semicarries before my last pick!

Seriously free farm pretty much the whole game. I as a brood have taken over at least half of the enemy jungle meaning he should be good and farmed for the late game.
Proceeds to go (in order) Vlads (straight with 2k gold for it, despite me as Brood having one 3-4 minutes faster), Sange and Yasha, Battlefury.
Worst part is I have been having some awesome games... I guess I need to decline any time the timer gets above 4 minutes or else I risk this kind of game still. Rather unfortunate really...

So I played 7 games recently and 4 games in a row someone feeds 5-8 kills then leaves. When I finally win one I get matched with br's who cant speak a word of english while spamming whatever the fuck they speak over voice for the next 2 games, I dont care if they can't speak english as long as they don't suck but yes unfortunately they do unless vlads, SnY, into basher is suppose to be an effective item build for phantom lancer. I don't even understand why I'm being matched with these people, granted I'm playing on a smurf but I had 85% win rate before this 6 loss streak. I thought the quality of players I play with is relative to my win rate until I stabilize around 50%, because right now it seems to be doing the exact opposite with the enemy teams being better as each game passes while the people on my team degenerates to mouth breathers; considering the initial 30 games I had teams that were leagues above these people in the past 7 games.
note-why the hell does anyone queue for another continent when they dont make an effort to even communicate, even better why the fuck do you choose I SPEAK ENGLISH when you queue if you dont.....

To be fair there is no portuguese option, and apparently some people in brazil have better routing to the us server than to the south american one.

Well I hope there is a resolution for this issue, because a loss anyone can deal with but having to sit through a game knowing you have no chance while your team refuses to/cant communicate is just a rage inducing experience since you know they are wasting your time.

This actually happened on the enemy's side last game, but if you're gonna pick 2 mid-worthy heroes, it's not a dick-waving contest FFS. Both their QoP and Nyx went mid against our krob who proceeded to get a level advantage and crap all over them while the sidelanes went unsupported, all because neither "mid" player wanted to concede his spot in mid and go help the PL top.
If you're gonna blame someone else for ruining your lane, just take a deep breath and step back, because being a rage baby won't solve your problems or win you the game.

Team in AP is picking, VS, Lion, Doom, Drow. Our enemies are SK, Omni, CM, Invoker and Storm.
I said to myself: Hey, those heroes pretty muc suck without Mana, why not go for a PL?
Doom sez: OMG, pick support, enough carries! (What?)
After i lock PL, he starts bitching around senselessly for 10 minutes about noobs, l2p, what douchecunts everyone is, and goes mid. He continues his blabbering for another 10 minutes, at this point i have a nice farm on lancer with a diffusal level 2, treads and ring of aqui. Stats at 4-0-3. At around 25 minute mark we group up and push their bot lane in, when he seems to get the idea that we are winning. "Nice damage". We are able to carry the game home pretty comfy and without problems.
I just get so mad when some people start blabbering bullshit right from the start, even worse when those people clearly have no concept of the game at all - this dude kept flaming me for how useless PL would be in the matchup because we had the drow already. Yes, yes. Drow and PL are the exact same concept of carry.

Just played with the best huskar ever.
Bottle first,didnt go mid. Maxes heal out first, and did not put a single point in his ulti. He calls for gank, I shackle pudge and wait for huskar to pounce and screw him....but he just stands there throwing spears, not even burning spears. after the 4 point something seconds, he just hooks huskar and kills him lol.Also despite having healing and urn, he never helps the team with it. Luckily huskar disconnected before he could feed more, and we won the game 4v5.

I started playing this game around 3 weeks ago and I have found that everybody wants to be a carry (Because they are fun to play).
Well frankly... I am sick of it! I'm assuming when you get to higher ranks people start picking support roles and initiators and play them as they are supposed to, but in my league it is nothing but rikimarus and drow rangers.
Me personally, I only ever play a carry in the rare occurrence that my team actually selects support/semi carries, since I always try to pick my hero last. I like playing support but I get very little recognition if we win a game, it is frustrating the amount of times I have finished a game where you find one of the carries who are 20-1 who are cocky as fuck because they think they single handedly won the game, but rarely do I get recognition as a support with 5 kills, 2 deaths, and 30 assists! The carrys never realize that most of their kills are obtained through the support because most of them tunnel vision, also the amount of wards I put up in our jungle so the carries can farm safely is insane.
Please people... when you are going to give a commendation out... don't give them out to the carries straight away. Actually think about who helped the most to win the game and who was trying to be the best team player. If you see a Lina who uses her ultimate when a bloodseeker is on 30 health then don't commend him.... if you see a Magnus who charges in and uses his Reverse Polarity while spamming mechs/arcane boots/Eul's Scepte then give him one... if you see a rikimaru who hasn't joined a single team fight and just tried to solo his way to victory then don't give him one. That's not to say I don't commend carry's... but I try to put it in perspective.

From my experience, I get less ping if i search for a match in the us servers. My theory is that a lot of people in SA have shitty connections.
Either way, valve should add both portuguese and spanish to the language options.

When the other team randoms: PL, drow, riki, AM, and Tide. Why does my team of mostly mid game heroes feel like they should first farm up for the first 40 minutes of the game before pushing. I don't understand when people play AR, then they do not realize that you never random a perfect team, so you have to go after the one opening if that's what your team ended up being.

Not really a QQ but I've finally made it to 50% win ratio, 363 wins, 363 loses, i had 10 more loses than wins for such a long time,almost since I started so it feels good.
My recipe to success was death prophet (10-3), lifestealer ( 15-9 but most of the loses were before I learned to play him properly, I'm probably 12-3 recently on him) and nyx assassin (12-6, same thing most of my loses were before I knew how to play him, right know I think it's almost impossible to lose a pub with nyx, he is so disgustingly OP).
Now to redeem myself I'm going to pick almost exclusively supports for a while, I really need to improve that aspect of my game (eventhough it can be frustrating in pubs with bad carries, I think I could do much better I tend to get picked off way too much)
edit: and now a qq how hard is it for people to understand that YOU SHOULDNT ALL COME AND PUSH THE LANE WHERE YOUR BROODMOTHER IS!! I was playing a CM game and completly shutting down their void ( they had a trilane with void/warlock/kotl and void got a naked battlefury in 20 min while I got a good amount of farm myself. But then my team decided that they would all come top and get chronoed, while their beastmaster was happiy farming bot.. Apparently they talked english but refused to communicate whatsoever and continued to feed triple kills to void.
It's why broodmother has such a poor winrate in pubs, people dont understand the concept of putting pressure on a tower, see if they respond with 5 people in this case you just back off while your brood takes down their tower. If they send 1 guy to def against brood he will get killed by her, so basically the only way to defend is send 2 and then you have to fight a 3v4 and that's why brood is strong, but no they just all come on your lane because they cant understand that you don't need to be 5 to push a tower.

I find it really funny when my team does that to the wrong player. Often they'll be like "gg drow too good" when it was really kotl who was just shutting down all of our pushes and harassing us out of lane all game.
