I was hoping I would never need to post in this thread, but with 4 teammates, you have 4 chances to get a complete egotistical moron.
My story:
Captains mode game, other team makes horrible horrible picks, our captain makes pretty good picks. Our team was KOTL, Wind runner, tide hunter, luna, and QoP. But the person who got wind runner thought these picks were stupid and the captain didn't know anything about the game. So what did he do? Called the captain a noob, and that he is so bad the game is beyond saving, WR doesn't leave, but instead just goes and jungals the whole game. Our team (minus wind runner) plays well together, and we go up something like 30-10, we were definitely going to win 4v5 (without the compensation gold of the leaver!). So clearly this game wasn't beyond saving, but then WR gets the idea that he will do whatever he can and starts feeding. We were able to clear two lanes, but the constant dying by WR starts giving the other team so much gold. Add in it's 4v5 without compensation gold, and we start losing ground and eventually lose.
All WR had to do to get a free win with putting zero effort into the game, was to not feed. What was really stupid, is the reason WR got mad to begin with: WR said we had such a bad pick and had no chance of winning, so it wasn't worth trying. So why intentionally throw the game when we would otherwise win?

So he's right. If you had won, it would have proven him wrong, therefore he had to everything in his might to make everyone else fail. Yes that's how those people think.

Edit: Now up to a 6 game loss streak. Five game loss streak before that last win. Why does matchmaking hate me so much? I won my lane in like...three quarters of those games. And the times I didn't were because my team insisted on utterly idiotic lanes.
I hate this game so, so much.

he was so insecure of himself that he had to prove himself right, no matter the cost. Fucking sucks and this is honestly the biggest problem with F2P - there's no real 'punishment'.

just my 2 cents regarding matchmaking
i used to solo queue at home all the time before my computer got too shit to play dota
i think matchmaking is fine. there are some games when i get down syndromes in my games, allied or not, but its understandable as it could just be other factors thats making the person play badly. basically what i did was i supported most games until i got into the very high brackets, and 8/10 games you will get a decent person playing a carry. if you supported well, then hopefully hell have the items to show.
basically what im trying to say is, if you picked solo mid or a carry or something and blame your team for either not supporting you or feeding, then its not totally their fault. i remember the days in wc3 when NO ONE bought wards in pubs.
but then again, having to go against drow or pl before the quelling blade fix was qq worthy so oh well...

You have had absurdly good luck then. I played dedicated support for about four months straight. About 80% of games there was nothing to carry. The "carry" would just autoattack to push the lane and then overextend and get himself killed.
Then buyback and do it again.
Wow I'm so annoyed right now. 
Edit: And of course I decide to go for an AP game for a change and first pickup? Opposing team - Drow.

Use one of your Dota 2 invites, pick w/e the fuck mid game hero you want while not giving a smallest crap about other picks in those starter games (and remember that invisible = invincible), play him 10 or 15 times, get to high or very high depending how good you actually and then start picking supports if thats what you enjoy in Dota.

Playing with friends, decide to go PL to carry the game. Hover over PL, some other guy picks it. We give him safe lane and a support, I go nyx mid and dominate the game, 26-7-12, I think, great this should buy PL some farming space. Too bad he has no farm, lowest level on our team, also constantly dies in teamfights. He finishes with 225 gpm, 89 last hits in a 40 minute game. People who pick carries and can't farm, can't stay alive, can't last hit I guess this had to be because I had a 7 game winning streak. Valve MMR at its finest

Pick meepo, actually do well, having fun, oh wait centaur is 0 - 10, shadowdemon 2 - 8, alchemist 1 - 6 or something. fml. End as 12 - 5 meepo dominating the game, takes the entire enemy team to deal with me. unfortunately everytime i blink in and do my poofs my team doesn´t enter until i die like three times in a "teamfight" and the opponents just mopp them up when i´ve died. Fucking hell i mean, i´m playing goddamn meepo and i do well and my team can´t manage to play centaur and alchemist... seriously.

We had a sven on our team today, die about 2 seconds in, and then 1-14, didn't buy a single item, and by the time he abandoned had like 6 level ups banked and not allocated.. I mean I'm shocking at this game, but just... >_<

or it takes way more than 10 to 15 games
my smurf gets put in very high, but i still get matched with people with <20 wins and are awful

I had a furion that bought 2 gauntelet of speed and then the recipe for midas... When I asked why he did that (who knows, maybe it was a mistake), he told me it was to get treads later on.. Also he of course did that stupid lvl1 tp on high ground to kill hard camp jungle technique (and died in the process).

I have a RL mate who's favourite hero is spectre, even though he cannot farm anything we still let him play it, but he will always go for treads > vanguard > 40 minute radiance no matter how many times I tell him that vanguard is the shittiest item in the game right now and he should go for tranquils/aquila/drums. We only win if the rest of us stomp 4v5, in which case he always comments 'eh why are you guys always ending the game as I get my radiance' in 30-40 minute games, and if we aren't able to stomp 4v5 he can never carry us because he does no damage.
And he goes all emo whenever I try to explain my reasoning and shuts up on Skype, pretty much ignoring me for the rest of the game.

I played a lot with friends like that a while ago too, trying to be as nice as I could even though they are clearly ignorant on what needed to be done. Nowadays I've adapted a zero bullshit tolerance. Either they accept it and learn, or they don't get to play with me (Yes, I've started treating it like a privilege).
Its not that I mind playing with what I consider low skilled players, it's that they're clearly not trying. I don't mind mistakes, I do a ton myself. But when you sit in that forest as axe for 40 minutes straight, refuse to listen to us when we tell you to join up so we can finish the game, and then lose when you have "your items" because the opposite team have better carries..

I'm someone who's pretty new to Dota and today I learnt about LPPP. I've played like 20 games, but in 2 of them I got disconnected due to shitty Internet. At this point I have literally no idea about LPPP. I join a game and get a message that I won't receive any battle points, I'm like wtf and then realise I have been placed with either leavers, bad players or dicks and must spend 24 hours with them -.-

I played 8 games today (I won 6 of them, the games where I went mid, the other two someone else took mid = autolose), I got a rampage with puck the 5th (?) game and was super fucking happy, ive never gotten a rampage before (ever) and always been looking forward to it, ever since I played HoN beta (when rampage was something super sick that never happened)
So I get the rampage with puck, super fun games. Last game I go bounty hunter (not mid), we lose the game (cuz i dont get mid, again), but I play very well and even if we dont have the teamfight/pushing power we have several carries, its me, invoker, void and lycan (and wd) and at least 3 of us can carry pretty well
So we have this teamfight, the enemy team lost their gem before so they cant see me, but I walk around sniping people (like a boss), killing people cuz they are diving not thinking im there. I kill WR, then riki is low hp (and going in!), i get him, i shuriken pudge and then kill ancient apparition who cant do much.
Me and invoker left on our team, invoker is very low and chased by ogre magi, invoker goes ghost walk but gets dusted, I follow ogre magi and get him from like 70% hp, and he force staffs away just when he is about to die = I react fast and throw shuriken
what happens
when shuriken is 1mm from enemy fucking ogre magi and i will get my second rampage of the night (second ever), super fucking cool, invoker turns around and just throws away a random autoattack. When my shuriken is almost almost landing
My entire day / evening is ruined and i feel bad because this guy stole what could have been 2 rampages the same night
i fucking hate everybody
He was also the guy who instapicked invoker and went mid and couldnt hit a sunstrike or do shit
