You should end up with 100 less gold by repicking, so yeah, you shouldn't random if there is a big chance you will end up repicking. You might as well just use the "random wheel" untill it falls on a hero you like. | ||

And you clearly don't understand the mechanics behind repick after randoming, you get less gold than if you were to just pick that hero in the first place. So really you just went up against three people who decided they would rather play a handicapped Drow than the heroes they actually randomed. Or they were retarded...both are equally likely. Edit: I also Random pretty much every single AP game, and almost never repick unless my teammates go full-retard with the other 4 picks. | ||

That is probably the single worst change they made to HoN for me  (apart from all the awful heroes and early access). Random gold is awesome. It isn't like 853 gold is that crazy OP mid. What are they gonna do, go boots or bottle first?  . I mean, if they take away the random gold then I can't justify randoming anymore. And I really do hate picking because I always end up support (I'm better at support than carry anyways, and that is generally what is needed). Randoming is my justification to play carries etc XD. | ||

Maybe the players didn't enjoy the heroes they randomed? im just saying it suggests a pattern when it happens again and again that people random , and then if they dont get drow they repick drow. | ||

No, you are assuming people are complete idiots just because you want them to be. There are two possibilities, they random but will always repick unless they get Drow, or they random and repick unless they get a hero they like, which could be 10 heroes, could be 40 heroes, could be 80 heroes. And Drow is just their back up plan. Doing that if you only feel like playing half the pool of heroes isn't smart, but it isn't completelly braindead as hoping you get Drow on random would be, so it is also much more likely. Plus you shouldn't ask questions if you don't want answers. | ||

I random sf, go mid. Then after the first wave (level 1) drow comes mid with an invis rune to gank the nightstalker, who we're surely gonna kill with just frost arrows slow. After that she just chills mid, takes my last hit and is generally useless. Fast forward a couple of minutes of laning with drow and me asking her to leave. I get ganked by cm and vs mid, die. Then nighttime hits, I get dived by NS, juke in trees near tower for an eternity, ping like crazy, no tps. "gg mid fed" in all chat. Yeah, that's enough DotA for the week. edit: spelling | ||
