Chinese players don't actually spam the chat, so it's probably not that bad. You might have the misfortune of hearing them on voice chat, because then they'll keep talking over you while you're trying to voice chat back to them in Chinese and it's clear that quite a lot of them can't read English. You'll meet "bad" Chinese players once in a while, but they're no different from Thais and pinoys, so they don't stand out as a group.

Which is perfectly fine with me. All I do is type obvious stuff like " naix roshan " or "SMOKE HERE" or "GANK CLINKZ" or "care, warded" and SEA players get it 99% of the time. The other 1% becomes a depressing experience when you have a furion teleporting to the far side of the map right after someone types "ALL MID NOW OR WE LOSE".

Classic dota matchmaking, Valve decides my 2 friends and I won enough so matched the 2 fucking worst players on my team. SF goes 2-21, feeds sniper 5 kills within 15 minutes. Timbersaw wasn't as bad as SF but he was BM and kept flaming us over mic despite being clearly worse than us. I muted him and after a while he just stops playing and just goes around randomly cutting trees so we are essentially playing 3v5 with feeders. SF goes 2-21, Timbersaw goes 3-10.

What I don't understand is why Americans seem to have the urge to swear at people over microphones. Over in SEA people get pissed but they will just write a few flames in chat and just chill it off, people here seem to have huge anger management issues and antisocial problems.

seriously with this PL + KOTL craze.. it's in every other game of mine. It's never been in my lanes but it's destroyed every lane i've seen so far and it's won every game i've seen in it. Ultimate pub stomp combo.. super snoozy.

It's because people play too passive and lose too much regen to lance/keeper spam. You have to have a relatively strong zerg lane like CK wisp or something that can just jump the kotl and keep feeding off him every time he comes to lane.

I'm in the high tier of matchmaking and the past two games have involved me going random off the bat, and then my team proceeding to pick nothing but carries and then no one buys courier/wards. I hate playing those games out too because there's just no way we're going to win.

Feels like I'm in normal all over again~

It actually seems like I'm getting more carry loaded teams in high tier. Damn you I pick carry no matter what people!

It's getting to the point where even the brazilians aren't that bad. Then I get matched with someone with 100 games played versus someone with 1300 wins...

Happens to me all the time on my smurf. I have like 70 wins and usually after 1-2 minutes wait time I am matched with people way above 500 wins. Very high pool, 57% winrate.

And people who deny the "russian problem" have not played on EU servers recently.

So, i just love playing Axe.

No problem, the sololaner should get some more exp, might have a bad farm on the other hand in the beginning.

What grinds my gears is, usually not a ranged hero wants to take the solo position, but the hardcarry. While a QoP or a Lich or even a SF might do fine on a solo lane 1v2 when not playing too agressive for the first levels, a Void or a PA usually get left behind so hard it isn´t even funny.

When i come to gank the lane, usually at level 3, they decide to run in first (yeah, why should i let Axe initiate? I have blink and dagger, bro!) and complain about me being slow after they get squished 2v1 plus creepwave.

Sigh ~

/random rant.

Truth spoken. There's plenty of chinese players in SEA, as in EVERY-GAME-PLENTY. The funny part is most of them are decent, except for when they dont communicate at all....or start typing in chinese. Only in those games i am happy about being a chinese myself so i understand what their saying/doing.
In SEA at High Matchmaking(rarely Very High), i rarely meet true feeders/noobs anymore.
China players are decent, usually good.
Thailand i havent meet any, Pinoys met a few. Pinoys are usually the trouble makers in games in SEA

Flaming wise, yes of course there's flames in DOTA, but it dies down after a while. we dont go on and on for the entire game. Maybe its because SEA players that i meet are competitive? We rather work together than against each other to try and win the game

this fucking player right here

I hope I never team up with him again jesus christ

how can you even play the same hero over and over again so many times? I understand sticking to some heroes more often than not, but nearly all his games are Drow/Viper/Huskar, which he takes if Drow has been taken by someone else. Especially when it's such a braindead hero.

A friend of mine played nothing but drow for 100+ games and got straight into very high, after choosing "new".

rofl... 2.0 kda with that many games of drow is pretty sad.

And as far as Russians go, I've heard from multiple Europeans that EU servers are almost unplayable because of them. I queue veryhigh/high so I'm not a complete noob and from my own personal experience the Russians I've played with have been highly aggressive, even tower diving constantly in some cases. I've played with a few Russians who clearly knew what they were doing but it's rare. I think the biggest factor is they almost never speak any English what so ever.

I enter games expecting Russians who don't communicate except for whatever BM English they can come up with, it's pretty bad.. There also seem to be no good Russians, they're either Terrible - Mediocre or total Godlike winning games on their own.

Russian teams in Team fortress 2 plays _extremelly_ aggressive and i agree that they do it in dota aswell, a cultural thing?

EU(east) dota is generally aggressive at early game. Not just Russians.

Ugh slow game. Have a QoP and pudge on team, QoP ganks a little but not nearly enough and pudge just farms lanes. Meanwhile im constantly saying we have to push as their sven is getting close to bkb. Nope no reaction. Time goes, Sven gets bkb. Ok guys NOW WE GOTTA PUSH before he gets crits rite?!. Nope. "We die anyway" QoP answers. Cool, stats are 18 - 14 in our favor and i'm 5 - 0 as silencer. Nobody wants to push, nobody wants to gank, sven free farms. 31min into the game they decide LETS TEAMFIGHT! and we run into their forest. Sven greets us with his first bkb so 10 seconds, crystalis, armlet, mom. We all die horribly and game ends like 45 - 20. Our PA has by the 40 min mark a vlads, poormans shield and a pair of threads in a game where nobody ganked at all and everyone just farmed lanes aka he had pretty much freefarm.

What is the point of randoming a hero?

first game today
enemy randoms necrolyte - repick drow ranger

second game
enemy randoms broodmother - repick drow ranger

third game
enemy randoms juggernaut - repick drow ranger

are people that desperate for the 200 extra gold on drow? we won all three games btw, but it still irks me.
The futures uncertain , but the end is always near
