Just played with a fucking Lycan who:

1. Bought a belt of giant strength first as his only starting item
2. Refused to jungle
3. Went mid lane with our shadow fiend
4. Bought 2 boots
5. Never howled once during the entire game
6. Made similarly retarded item choices like isolated mithril hammer and gloves of haste
7. Never talked once the whole game

Fuck man, what did I do to deserve this? I have 3 top college decisions coming out tomorrow, I don't need this bullshit.

if you are in the lowest skill pool you can get matched with guys playing dota the first time

I'm not sure what skill pool I'm in but I was queuing with a friend who is new to the game. for what's it worth I have about a 50% winrate

u can have 50% winrate in like any skill pool i think...and if your friend is new to the game it of couse does play a role in which pool u end up....and if you have a higher skill rating than the others you get thjje worst placed on your team....thats at least my experience. i played a few games with a friend who just got into beta, and when i played with him we got the biggest retards in our team since my normal rating is quite high

Played with a voker. Is lv 7 at 22 minutes, without phase boots. Upgrades points into extort, quas, and only 1 in wex. During battle, uses tornado.

best QQ i've had is my first game of dota 2 was on my friends account (still no key). i click match making for captain mode only. sit there....sit.....there...... get a match! except this was after 40 minutes of waiting, i get into the match playing nigma, then....team leaves 5 minutes in with no kills/deaths yet so it's a close good game. so i just leave to get the auto loss, and then cry for about 10 million years that i waited 40 minutes to right click a few times and then have to leave.

You can go to Recent Games under the Watch tab and filter it by your name and then you can select a skill level and you'll find out.

The private lobbies count as low mmr regardless of skill level I believe, so you can ignore those.

That Sniper that is in every single game on my team with 2 wraiths, treads and a shadow blade. Has died about 13 times, does no damage and probably gets dusted and feeds every game but still buys shadow blade.

thats why i always facepalm as soon as someone picks sniper :p
i had the luck to meet the same guy three games in a row. first game hes in my team picks beastmaster and takes mid. games was ok but this beastmaster was so bad in mid and every fight (for example not using his ultimate) that we lost.
next game. same guy picks wr takes mid again and refuses to skill windrun against sf. sf had shadowblade after 12 min and raped us.
in the third game i had the luck to play against him and we won after a very short time. dunno why i always get people that have no clue about dota...its not like my winrate is that bad -.-

Lycan, Enigma, Windrunner, Antimage, Clinkz. I mean....besides the clinkz they had an amazing team lineup to basically delay pushes and 4v5 until AM got farmed. The clinkz was just annoying. Was playing invoker on a team with 3 carries (happens after 4-5 game win streaks now

) and dominated the clinkz mid. But tbh team just couldn't do shit against their lineup. Meh oh well I guess this is how MM stops my win streaks.

Can't stand the people who think picks don't matter, "just outplay them". While there's some truth to the statement, it still reduces your chances of winning because you have to play even better than you would had you picked a strong hero. Add to the fact that this statement normally means you will have multiple if not all hard carries on your team, it also makes for extremely boring games.

What annoys me even more are the people who pick lategame carry heroes and go around the entire game ganking. PROTIP: IT'S HARD TO GANK WHEN YOUR HERO HAS NO CC. If you want to roam the map, gank, initiate teamfights, never farm, then there are tons of heroes who are perfect for this playstyle...If you want to afk farm and tp to fights while being the most influencial hero lategame, then sure pick a carry. You don't play hard carry by roaming around and hoping to get fed.

Just had a game where an ES didn't buy chick, proceeded to give away free kills in lane to a solo naix, then left lane. Then sylla starts ganking me, I can't escape phase+bear with naix inside it, team QQs at me for dieing as mirana to a "solo naix"

Then the ES says "well this game is over and I can't play tomorrow anyway" and leaves. The system needs work >

I felt kinda bad for him when you could see him kinda hesitate to go in and ult and realise that he just has to with a sigh.

At one point the score was 24-47 against with him having 20 deaths iirc - i think they managed to win in the end though. Amazingly gripping game.

I basically have to talk my team through the game, which is fine. BUT...they speak only Spanish. ANYWAY...we finally get our Razor to Static Link their Husk and kill all five and take mid rax and Rosh our Veno ninjas the Aegis. THEN...Razor and Veno run right into a team fight where Razor dies instantly and Veno dies twice instantly because he is Veno. SO...that fight means they get mid rax and mid towers. Um, okay...so we lose when we kill the third Rosh and Veno takes cheese and aegis. I was CW and bought back three times to sacrifice myself to set up kills on them before they could throne us~.

Argh, just had a game where we potentially could have won. The problem that got us killed was Lycan. I am not racist or anything, but he was Russian. He did not seem to understand what was being told. Either that, or he was an idiot. The point that I and others were trying to make is that, we had to fight as a team.

It was late game so we could not afford to die many times. But he would rush ahead, not slowing or anything. And end up attacking with 3 people (including himself), and get wrecked. I am all for Lycan being the first to attack. But we lost fight after fight because we never had a full team. I remember with our entire team spread out, he would just say, "Mid rush" and charge on ahead. I think "mid rush" was one of the few words he actually spoke.
