Is it? nah if he's actually 1.5k he has no idea what to do in a game. you can easily get to 4k just by farming efficiently and knowing how to use ur spells. | ||

He tries to pick good heroes for team synergy. I noticed his gpm is bit worse than other cores but its not like he misses everything. EDIT: he is my friend irl so I can't tell him to fuck off. He doesn't seem to be that toxic, but he kinda tries to call the shots from his mic. | ||

if he's consistently getting less gpm than 3k cores he probably has a very bad sense of how to collect farm that should be there for him | ||

He has played double the games I have! How the hell is he this bad? Having calibrated at 800 and climbed close to 3k now, I can tell you why he is so bad despite having double your games. I spent around 6 months at 800, and looking back, even though I felt I was mechanically far superior to my teammates and opponents, I was actually unaware of how many mistakes and shitty choices I was making. Basically because the players around me were bad, I too had the same bad habits. It's only from watching pro streams and my own replays that I actually started climbing and now even at my current mmr I am climbing steadily. He isn't bad because his skill ceiling is low; he is simply not trying to play better dota, or thinking about the decisions and choices he is making in game. Let me give you an example. I used to be a sniper spammer around the post TI4 time trying to climb out of what I felt was the sub 1k trench and I remember how I would never really care to last hit. I would get maybe one last hit every wave and didn't bother actively trying to last hit because I didn't think it made that much of a difference. I would just autoattack the creepwave, get 6 and ks with assassinate until I got a 30 min shadow blade and feel like I was playing well because I was 10-4 or something. It's only when I started watching ee and rtz stream on a regular basis that I started seeing what these guys did and the flaws in my own play and worked to improve them. As a result, I climbed from 706, my lowest ever mmr, to 1900 in around 1.5 months. At this point I felt like I was in another trench as it was impossible to make progress. I did discover storm spirit at this point and after slowly working my way to 2.1k by spamming storm, I started watching aui's 2 cents videos. This helped me improve my farming patterns massively and I started going from 30-40 cs/min on most heroes to a consistent 70-80 cs/min. I climbed from 2.1 to 2.7k in a month and I have been steadily climbing ever since. Basically, when you feel like you are in the trench, it means you are able to see how bad the other players are, but you overlook the issues in your own game, and when you fix them, you will climb easily | ||

Then you, or somebody else who is higher mmr, pick a greedy support(I usually prefer Lina) and play less sacrificial for your friend and try to make things happen over the map. Create space by moving the action away from him, and use the fact that you are probably better than many players on the other team to get kills. When put under pressure is usually when worse players underperform the most. As long as you are a support who can utilize unutilized space and scale well into late, it really doesn't matter if he's snowballing or not. I'm not saying be a dick and steal his farm nor ignore supportive duties, just that you should play a bit more opportunistic and don't be that CM walking around with brown boots for 50 minutes. Besides I often find it more frustrating when the support play is subpar rather than a core. | ||

First ime I have actually rage reported someone holy shit taht Tiny was a complete inbred I got two easy kills on him in lane and he was mostly worthless but Herp Derp Craggy Exterior means our AM is useless vs you. | ||
