Hm. Trying to do slark for AHC. On a 5 game losing streak. And then I get a game with a luna who runs down mid every opportunity to feed. Picks luna for the fastest movespeed to feed most effectively. Starts boots first. Buys only TP scrolls to feed faster. 20 minutes in somehow has enough for BoTs, TP's directly to enemy for feed. Ends the 25 minute game 0-45.
Sad game Made even sadder by the fact that the enemy team was all "LMAO EZ" What did I do wrong today? I've dropped from 4400 MMR to 3800 in the past couple days =p

Couple of wonderfully awful games last night:
Exhibit 1: Random draft. I'm first pick and...Techies! Because why the hell not. Guy in second set of picks throws a fit "OMG NOOOO TECHIES". Team proceeds to pick WD, TA, Troll and Gyro. Bit weird but ok whatever. I comment on the lineup and the grouchy guy (who was on WD) throws a little strop about "what do you expect when you pick techies?" Then they proceed to lane with Gyro mid and TA safelane farming. Er...
I go fairly reasonably early on with mines dotted about. I take out Mirana with them several times when she comes up to gank. I think I'm around 6-4-4 or something going into midgame.
Unfortunately the Troll in my lane has been literally running into the enemy team's Void/Skywrath that we were laning against and is about 0-10 by this point. I check the board. WD has been feeding bottom incredibly hard too. TA has virtually nothing. Gyro has been doing...kinda ok but not great enough to outcarry this feeding pair. WD is bitching that Gyro hasn't been ganking and about having Techies on the team (despite the fact I think I had the best score on the team at this point).
It was fairly even until the 20 minute mark. Then Void started being Void and everyone started dying (although he DID run into a stasis mine within chronosphere multiple times which was pretty funny because it prevented him from doing his thing, wasting the ult). Everyone finished with fairly poor stats due to dying over and over when defending base (I personally finished 6-11-8; could have probably kept it to 6-8-8 but I kept trying to defend) but recognition must go to Troll who somehow finished 0-18-10; I don't even know how that's possible and I'm chatting with Gyro about it. WD still throwing a tantrum about there being Techies and about Gyro.
Guess what? TA, Troll and WD are a 3-stack! :D :D :D

Exhibit 2: Shorter one this time. ARDM. I start bottom lane on Broodmother. We're doing pretty reasonably our lane. A guy dies top. Ok whatever.
Then he dies again.
And again.
And again and again and again and again.
In total this guy goes 0-15-4, single handedly wiping out almost half our respawns. He (or she I guess) was an absolute potato. CONSTANTLY going off alone and dying just over and over. One of my team literally yells at them to just stay in base which worked for a while until they got bored, went out and died again. The other team has a player who ends up on PA and starts rolling and builds Mjollnir, a butterfly and starts on a second...after much difficulty we manage to isolate and kill her and the reroll is...Faceless Void! Wonderful.
The one dying gripes that they've never played this mode before. Ok fine...maybe they're a new player...lets see the profile...ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED HOURS. Even if you've never played that mode before its not THAT HARD.

Why do people say "ez game" "ez mid" or whatever in or after a game that well exceeds the hour mark? Particularly if rat dota, a comeback, or the stealing of a rapier/opponent throwing the game is involved?
Obviously in those cases you were at a disadvantage before...
Obviously you'd have beaten the opposition much sooner if the current game/matchup were so "ez"...*eyeroll*.

if you quickcast on every other hero, don't on earth spirit
also now you can target kick on ground (somewhere between you and your target) and you'll kick a rock that's next to you. if you're succeeding most of the time but losing anyway you're probably just picking bad fights as a roamer, each combo should be a clean kill / advantageous fight ideally. you can also hide pretty far away for counterganking, just hide by your highest value ally and jump in when he gets jumped

Steam support seriously needs more people. I want to play DOTA with a buddy from LoL (we came from SC2 and got bored) since we agreed to play each others mobas. However every time he boots up dota it gives him and error message and crashes (he ahs a new comp too) After not one but two support tickets valve has not responded in over a month.
EA has better customer service you shitheads and that's sad.
