Occasionally, at the beginning of games after I've split the workers and start spamming, I can hear a sound clip. It begins with the buzzing sound of a flying fly, then a slap and finally a guy saying something like "got it". It's not always the whole clip is played up, but sometimes I can only hear the fly and sometimes it stops after the slap.
I'm on a mac (Macbook Pro) with the latest patch installed. But I've been hearing this for a while now.
Have anyone else noticed this? Am I infected by a malware? Neither the search tool, the Battle.net forum nor Google could help me with this.
...i'm intrigued too. There were a few times when I thought I heard sounds, voices (of people talking, etc) that doesn't seem to be part of the SC2 game. However, they were different that yours. I thought it could be malware but don't know what it is. I don't think it is the voice chat feature because I have never enabled it or used it. I was concerned too.
i have a similar problem in bw. whenever i build my first gateway (or sometimes cybernetics) the human nuclear launch detected sound file starts to endlessly loop until i pause the game. Then it never happens again. just an anecdote
love the rush to malware, saw a picture in the [SFW] pic's that make you laugh thread. It was a chart reading "knowledge of computers" and "blame viruses" as one went down, the other went up. Made me laugh, and here it is live.

To be fair, generally the less knowledge you have on computers the greater chance you have to get malware/viruses.

I don't know, if you don't have a large knowledge of computers why would you be browsing sites that aren't safe? I think of it as if you don't know a lot about computers, you just check the basics; google, facebook, banking ect...
If you don't know anything about computers, how would you know which sites are safe? Not all of them are red-on-black and have skulls and huge "VIRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" messages everywhere.

I'm saying that if you don't know a lot about computers, you wouldn't be browsing sites that aren't safe in the first place.

Well my gf's mom got a virus from a cooking website. She then later got another one from an unrelated cooking site about how to make a cake. Both times it was one of those fake anti-viruses that asks you to pay money. If you just google search for things its hard to know which sites are safe. I think they target old people because they know they are gullible.
Also, LOL@OP, I was wondering what the hell it was for a long time as well but just figured it was a terran sound.

Hopefully you guys can help me out. I think I have an official virus. I SIT DOWN to play sc2. And when I'm using my marines... i'm not leaving my house at all, im not going anywhere. Then outta the blue... someones saying GO GO GO. I'm not leaving, i'm playing sc2. This damn malware virus hardware issue is getting to me. In sc1 some nerd gave me a virus where sometimes someone called me a chickenshit during the game. I ended up qutiting wc2 for good because i'd be in the middle of teh game and "works complete" and i would get relaxed. The work wasn't freaking complete.
