Alt+Tab half working in Windowed (Fullscreen)

Closing the call / chat doesn't resolve it, though, it continues to be difficult until I restart Sc2. With that in mind, does anyone know if this is a confliction I'd just have to wait for an update for, or something that can be resolved? Furthermore, it appears to be a problem either with Windows 7 itself, or a side-effect of the Sc2 + Skype problem that continues to manifest itself even after I close Sc2. I'm thinking it's the latter since I've never noticed this without a connection to Sc2. [EDIT] Search function has failed me. The problem: When in Windowed (Fullscreen), normally I can alt+tab and instantly switch out of Sc2 and into whatever else is currently running, no problem. Lately, however, (and It hasn't just been the latest patch), sometimes when I'm playing Sc2 Alt+Tab will SORTA work.... it's like I'll press the combo but it won't switch anything. The windows box with all my programs open (see spoiler) flashes at me, on then off, but it won't switch anything. If I spam Alt+tab and clicking I can click one of them and be out, but It's really bugging me. + Show Spoiler + Sorry if that explanation is weird. Another thing: each Sc2 "session" (session = I open it, play for a few hours, exit) isn't the same. Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn't, but i've found no common program to be the cause or any kind of pattern that would lead me to a solution; the only program that is often on while I play Sc2 is a skype call with teammates, but that's not always on when this happens. Anyway, is anyone else experiencing this problem? I can't say for sure if it's been one of the recent patches or not, because honestly I've not cared much until getting fed up with it recently. (Side question, while I'm here: Anyone's b.net curse filter reset to "on" every patch? Some of my friends say theirs does while others don't. Kind of obnoxious.)

FeiLing Germany428 Posts June 16 2011 08:12 GMT #2 whoa... is that 3 different instant messengers? how about you try one of those multi-protocol messengers?^^ anyway, you should try closing down (terminating, not minimizing) everything except starcraft and see if it still happens.

Killcycle United States170 Posts June 16 2011 08:26 GMT #3 Problem is that I don't know how to replicate the problem :/ I'll give that a try next time it happens, though. Maybe I should get a multi-messenger :d but then there are sometimes those people you just don't wanna talk to.... D:

Askr Germany139 Posts June 16 2011 08:35 GMT #5 this happens to me from time to time, too. just restart SC2 and everything is fine. well, it should be ;p but i don't know 100% where this comes from, in my experience it comes from tabbing during the initial loading screen of sc or an notify/popup comes up in that time and fucks up the windows fullscreen. maybe someone can elaborate how windows fullscreen is drawn in windows and has a clue what could conflict with it

Killcycle United States170 Posts June 19 2011 07:29 GMT #6 Bleh. I figured it could be the Skype call, and it appears it is - it's the only thing that's consistently on when this happens. Closing the skype call (and chat) doesn't solve the problem, I have to restart Sc2 before it's back to normal. With that in mind, does anyone know how to keep this from happening? Is it some kind of confliction that i'd just have to wait for an update on?
