I use the standard ways to get the GSL stream link, and pasted it in Chrome(Instead of VLC!) and pressed enter. Chrome now "downloads" the file - it's actually downloading the stream to your hard drive. I expect it downloads as long as the stream is live. I then had VLC open the view.cgi.crdownload file - works just like it used to! When you're done watching, close VLC and cancel the download in Chrome. Hopefully that works for all my fellow Mac users

I have a ticket but the extension tells me no HQ-link... this worked for me. i got the link address using the chrome extension, then used chrome to download the link, then vlc to open the resulting download file. just pasting the link from chrome + the extension into vlc didn't work thanks a lot for the guide! without everyone posting these awesome alternative ways for mac and linux, i'd never be able to watch gsl live. not even sc2 could lure me onto a windows box. thanks!
