Hello
I tried to start SC2 this morning...and the latest patch was downloaded (100%).
When it was tried to install an ERROR-message appeared on german, bcause i live in germany and have a german copy.
But i just bought that copy for the key so when I had my bNetacc I downloaded the EU_en_GB client...which worked fine during the last months...
The ERROR-message says that the german verion is requiered for installation and the current version is english.
I know that it will work on german but the game sucks on german..
So is there a way to get that patch from someone who has it for the EU_en_GB version?
Or are there any advices how to fix the problem without getting the german version?

This is an issue being brought up on the Battle.net forums a lot at the moment so I don't imagine there's a fix yet but if there is, that'd likely be where you find it.

The official word at the moment is they're looking in to it but you can work around by using the file SC2Switcher.exe which can be found at 'Your Install Location\Support\SC2Switcher.exe'.

what does that SC2switcher do?

You're welcome. 
With regards what sc2switcher does. as I understand it, it just launches the game without all the sc.exe patch and error checking information, but then again I wouldn't like to say that as a solid explanation. What I can say though is the official blue post was to use it and it seems to work for launching the game, but again that might be a question b.net blue's could answer better.

It works like wow.exe and launcher.exe, sc2switcher runs the game without the launcher, allowing you to by-pass the update. As the update is not an update of the game itself, you're allowed to play.

for anyone having this problem there's a solution on the bnet forums:
Simply, go to your Starcraft Installation in My Files (normaly its called Starcraft II)
and open the file Variables.txt in Notepad
Find the entries
localeidasset=
localeiddata=
and set em to your localisation
North America: English (US) [enUS]
Latin America: Spanish (Mexico) [esMX], Portuguese (Brazil) [ptBR]
EU: English (UK) [enGB], German [deDE], Spanish (Spain) [esES], French [frFR], Italian [itIT], Polish [plPL], Russian [ruRU]
Korea: Korean [koKR]
Taiwan: Traditional Chinese [zhTW]
China: Simplified Chinese [zhCN]
SouthEastAsia: English (US) [enUS] {enSG}
Save the file and run Starcraft II - do the update.
It should work now.

I started the SC2, it started to update and it finished fine. But my version is completely the same and I'm able to play. What's going on? I saw no patch message on the battle.net home.... What's going on here?

that update was not really anything important so you wont see changes,
that fix up there is not working either for me... I can start the game through s2switcher but it's
still annoying :x
