Technically Maru is the best player but he has said that he hates TVT and we’ve seen how he isn’t as good anymore with it… we’ll see. I’m rooting for him or for Byun

Maru the type of guy to only proxy rax or 3 cc in tvt. I mean... As probably the GOAT next to Serral, I trust his judgement but I feel like this is definitely his worst matchup. Personally would love to see ByuN win for the raw emotion that will ensue.

Maru standard TvT is still very good, if not the best in the world. The issue has always been within his head, somehow losing to Ryung when they were practicing for IEM brought down his confidence, then the loss to HM in the group and to Oliveira in the Final took the rest of that confidence away. Now hes trying to focus on getting some "cheap" win like proxy, early drop, ect. and get punished for doing it. Instead of having the perfect defense set up like he normally does before IEM happen, hes becoming Byun-ish which just doesnt suit him.
Like in the interview for this GSL, he said Ryung couldnt help him much because hes just a "yes guy" to Maru, Byun is more helpful in critiquing Maru build, but that push Maru into playing like Byun even more.
