Reynor left Qlash and Neeb Ting. Last one is remarkable because apparently Neeb quits being a a full-time pro and will return to studying.

I personally don't remember him saying this, but again, faulty memory. Sad to hear that Rogue will be going though

Sad to hear that Rogue will be going though I am thinking of retiring to watch Sc2 if Rogue goes for military service. Sadly, I have a feeling that he may go after the first season of Code S finishes.

He has won like almost a million dollars in price money and has hopefully saved up enough of that to have a comfortable time before taking up whatever else. The dude is freaking 24 years old, and in relatively healthy shape. Despite his recent dissapointing result in IEM, he seems to be getting back to top shape, so why would he even think about retire at this moment? He might not have a team to play for in WTL, but he is still trying to get the G5L and beyond that.

GSL without Maru, INno, TY, Stats, Zest, Trap, Rogue... that would be the end of SC2 in Korea, so I really hope one of the youngest top koreans like Maru would not retire that early

I doubt that he will stay teamless for long; also, there is no way that losing to Serral in the ro8 could be considering a disappointing result(it's not like Maru has ever gone further than ro4 at Katowice either). Rogue retiring, on the other hand...there are enough top Zerg left for him not to be missed and, also, the average quality of finals could increase significantly ![]()

Maybe he just meant that he wont be in a team at the deadline for the start of the season, or that he straight up said he don't want to play in the league. Let's be real Maru is not the easiest guy to convice to play in a tournament

It's not because he doesn't want to play in WTL. Likely because they don't have a roster for the league (3 man requirement and no coalition allowed).

She is 25 years old. While it may be unlikely, it's far from impossible for Maru to retire/ change the game. LoL is still a big hit in Korea isn't it? EDIT: And SC2 has only 1 "announced and guaranteed" year left AFAIK

I can see Maru just saying - fuck it, don't want to end like Byun.

Because we dont know him personally and can only watch what transpire on the stage, and that has not given us ANY indication recently about Maru being hurt and hes thinking about retirement. And you simply diving way too deep into "possibility" but not "likelihood". COULD Maru choose to retire this year? Yes. Would I be shocked about it? Hell yes. Btw, it would be hillarious if Maru chooses not to play in WTL this season, and then get asked to play for the All-Star game. Imagine Maru + Serral vs top WTL players.
