As some of you may know, Zest recently passed HeRoMaRinE as the player with the most ESL weekly cup victory. You also probably know that Zest has been ''one day way from retirement'' since forever while at the same time seemingly playing Starcraft 24/7. This made me curious about just how much success Zest in his olden days.
Speculation about Zest imminent retirement for cause of military service started around Katowice 2021, where he expressed his desire to win since he believed it would be the last time he had the chance.
Now hold on to your hat, since Katowice 2021 Zest has played:
- 2298 games of professional Starcraft, over a third of what he had previously played in his entire career. He went 610-178 in matches and won a staggering 79 tournaments!
He also has 39 second place and 33 3/4 finish, netting a total of 151 top 4 finishes. (to be fair some of those were invitational).
With his playing pace he would pass Bly record of most played game (16 000) in under 8 years, more than 3 years faster than the Ukrainian.
Zest is the Machine Zest is Immortal Zest is Best
That's the whole post.

Thank you for this very good post of Zest appreciation <3 I'm aware he's been grinding like crazy and is on top of his game, but seeing the numbers like this is still mind-boggling. Zest is indeed best <3 I've been trying to emotionally prepare myself for I don't even know how long now for the day he will inevitably have to leave, but I know I still won't be ready when it happens

Zest is also the only SC2 pro player who plays this real time strategy in a turn based mode. He switches his macro turns with micro turns. God I will miss him.
Also somebody needs to ask him to post more shirtless pictures one in the army <3

Zest is always underappreciated when talked about the greatest players of all time, even to the likes of the greatest Protoss players of all time.
I felt like his achievements are far greater than any other protoss players ever existed in Sc2 universe.
Will remember him for sure. And, good luck Zest for winning both the tournaments before your military service begins.

Zest smashed all of Bly's "play in everything" records from previous years

No one's ever catching Bly to be fair.
Also fun fact, Zest has played more game of Starcraft in the last year than Maru has in whole 12 year carreer.

In Chinese he also got a new nickname "the artist", which means he likes to "perform art that no one understand what he is doing". Sometimes it worked and he crashed the confused unprepared opponent easily, but sometimes it was too fancy and went to the other way. PS: even the manager of DPG does not know when he will go go military.

I am right for believing you, Zest.

Zest is God. Can't imagine SC2 without him.
