The regional qualifier tournaments have concluded, determining the final roster of sixteen progamers who will compete in Shopify TeamLiquid Starleague 7. The players will compete for not only $30,000 in total prize money, but 1005 EPT global points as well.
TSL7 will be held from June 12th to June 27th, with broadcasts starting at 14:00 GMT (+00:00) on Saturdays and Sundays. The format has been adjusted from TSL6 to be a sixteen-player double-elimination tournament, starting with best-of-five matches and transitioning to best-of-seven later in the competition.
Stay tuned for more updates regarding the brackets!
How is seeding will be done for this tournament? Base on the EPT point ranking from last year? Or IEM result? I have a feeling we gonna have another early Clem vs Serral in the Ro.8 or something.
Why did so many top Koreans skip this tournament? Rogue, Maru, Byun, Innovation ... the list is quite long. Is it because of the late hours in Korea that most of the matches are scheduled?

The new format of bracket and schedule allows KR to rest instead of playing through the whole night, but I think its because they dont want to play in qualifiers near the GSL tournament timing.

Cure definitely has a better chance of taking down Serral, but I give Maru better odds against the other 2
The second Korean qualifier was a day after GSL ended, but not sure about the willingness to play. What's odd is that the JAGW boys played in NeXT qualifiers but didn't play in TSL even as GSL ran. TSL offers a higher prize pool, but maybe they prefer the GSL style more?
Also just venting a bit here but I don't like how TSL decided to run against less of a richer get richer style with region locked qualifiers and instead giving a better chance for underdogs to fight (because Maru haha). Still appreciate the high quality games though <3

Cure doesn't have better odds against Reynor or Clem over Maru unless Maru plays with just 1 hand. C'mon. I give him better odds against Serral but that's it.
Also what's wrong with people missing the current top 2 players of Korea and for example Innovation =)
