Group of death feels like group D but I am more interested in discussing group of LIFE?
I mean on the surface group E looks ripe with Scarlett (whom recently doesn't seem so confident in her standard play) vs Armani and Prince. But then group F, Patience, Bunny and Ragnarok. Sure on paper Ragnarok is favored but he has been so shaky historically, anyone of them could make it.
And then lastly group C, just hear me out, sure Solar and Rogue are the standard clear favorites here but they are also zergs that are renowned for dropping the ball at times. They are not really safe best to advance and up against them we have Super and Taeja, two old names that could make this group interesting!

I actually do think C is more a group of death than D. Whether or not Rogue is in form or still in post-world champion mode, seeing him lose here would be a surprise at Ro24. However, Taeja being Taeja and also his performance last season makes me want him to advance, but I would still be surprised to not see Solar in Ro16 at least. D is good, I know DRG and Dream both have shown form and people would be happy to see them through, but I feel them not making it to Ro16 is less a shock than those three in C.

How can anyone say SpeCial doesn't have a good chance, after he literally beat Zest to qualify in the first place? I could see:

On the other hand, jaws were dropped when I saw Group D - what an even group!
This GSL will be played on the new patch right? I wonder how much that'll make or break the races...

It's the format since this year, yes. Mirrors the format of their BW league ASL.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but if you look at those who have came back from military, don't really give you the impression that they come back stronger or even regain their old form.
