It's pretty brutal that (at least) one out of Stats, Maru and Serral will be out before the quarterfinals. And with Stats as the biggest threat to Serral in the whole tournament (based on past record) and Maru still the de facto best Terran in the world (despite underperforming in weekenders), there is a decent chance that player will be Serral.

At the same time we're in a zerg favoring state of the game, so Serral has the power of balance on his side. (especially considering the recent results - 2 GSL, ST, WCS, GSL vs tW) And it's not like he himself didn't say so ![]()

Is it just my imagination, or was herO playing better PvP than Classic at the last Super Tournament? That was unusual to see, but maybe Classic was just having an off day and I shouldn't look into it too much. I'm sure he'll be back in form come Blizzcon.

It will be major upset if Serral cannot advance from this group of death.

Let's say it's just 3 3:0s, if every game takes 20 minutes we're talking about what, 3 hours of gaming? Are Maru's wrist ready for this? I believe they're not. Yes, his race is OP, but I just dont see him beating Maru in a BO5 and beating Stats twice Are you sure Serral is the one who is in trouble? Stats and Maru are very tough opponents, two he has even map score against; I am quite sure they would avoid Serral if they could. First of all, his skill is more than enough to carry him regardless of Zerg's balance; these pitiful tentatives of portraying Serral as the favourite because Zerg is strong right now just ignore the fact that he is because he is the best and it has widely demonstrated it in twelve months before last patch. If you can't see Serral advancing as first, the problem is yours(it's a solid possibility); also, to advance as second he would only need to beat Maru or Stats, once.

The only real dispute I can think of might be ShoWTimE vs Scarlett but we would be arguing over seed #16 overall so not sure how much you want to pull on that thread.

When did Maru play Serral outside of WESG last year (3-0 Maru) and gsl vs the world team match (1-0 Serral)? I need to watch this to feed my rising hype! Orr are u counting 18 katowice quals that Maru played from Kr lmao?

These rankings add up all WCS Points on the year: points were also tallied based on the results of HSC, WESG and GSL vs The World. Foreigners who participated in Code S also got points. Maybe this will give us a better picture of where players actually stand going into BlizzCon? Can’t hurt. 1. Serral 2. Dark 3. Reynor (tie) 3. Trap (tie) 5. Maru 6. Classic 7. soO 8. Stats 9. Neeb 10. INnoVation 11. SpeCial 12. Rogue 13. TY 14. herO 15. Elazer 16. Zest 17. HeRoMaRinE 18. TIME 19. Solar 20. Dear 21. Scarlett 22. GuMiho 23. RagnaroK 24. ShoWTimE 25. Hurricane Based on rankings here, Serral, Dark, Reynor and Trap all advance in 1st. ShoWTimE, TIME, herO and Elazer all go out first. So that leaves the double matches: SpeCial vs soO, Maru vs Stats, Classic vs HeRoMaRinE and Neeb vs Rogue. Can these eight survive not one but two Bo5s?
