Classic just announced on Twitter that has received permission to travel abroad, making him eligible to compete in the WCS Global Finals.
"I've got permission to travel overseas! After the points for qualifying and the overall tournament details became clearer I began the process of getting permission from August, but we hit some unexpected road bumps along the way, causing this decision to be delayed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused the players and tournament organizers. Special thanks to Mr. Yoo Dong Koo of KeSPA who helped me out a lot."
"I'll try to make the most out of this opportunity that I fought hard to get!"
Classic's confirmation to participate in the Global Finals has eliminated TY, the #9 seed in Korea, from participating. The sixteen players participating at the WCS Global Finals have now been determined, as well as the groups.
So fucking sad for TY, I'm utterly disappointed :/. Only 1 korean terran this year . At least Classic is a good protoss, he better not lose to any foreigner in the groupstage.
And we have the Maru - Serral - Stats - TIME group of death awaiting, in bo5, we have high chances of getting a Maru vs Serral match!
A: Dark, SoOwtime (really have no idea where these two stand right now) B: Serral, Maru C: Classic, Reynor D: Rogue, Treeb (How is Neebs PvP right now?)
EDIT: It is played GSL style right? Is the match order shown on LP right?
It sucks that TY won't be going this year, we're really going to miss him at blizzcon. I was really hoping he would go, especially after playing that well the last couple of months.
Nevertheless, I can't be disappointed at all that Classic is going. This will be his final tournament as a pro and he more than earned his place there. Let's hope that the old man is going to crush it and end his career in glory.
I’ve loved Classic’s play all year. Really excited that he gets to go. It’s his last year before the army so I’ll be cheering for him to win. Toss hasn’t much luck this year, but if anyone can do it it’s classic.

EDIT2: HYYYYPPPPEEEEEEUUUUU
If recent matches are to be believed, Neeb's PvP is decent as he beat stats and showtime at GSL vs the world
Honestly I would be surprised if Maru beats Stats if/when they meet.
