Geoff 'iNcontroL' Robinson has passed away - Page 51
Forum Index > SC2 General |
From iNcontroL’s Twitter: To offer some solace in this time of grief: We've learned that Geoff passed quickly and painlessly from a blood clot in his lungs. He was with friends. He always urged and led us by example to take care of ourselves to the best of our ability. Remember to do that for him today.

There is an infamous post on TL.net regarding Geoff which, before it got locked since it refused to die, Gathered 243k+ views and over 500 replies, practically every moderator, star and senior TL user posted a replay in this thread at some point. This thread was TL.Net while it was active: Strange: picture of InControl on website I felt it needed mentioning since its related to Geoff's popularity and that the thread itself was far from ordinary.

He was such an intelligent man, extremly funny and a pleasure to listen to. I stopped following pro gaming a long time ago but my eyes watered when I realized that he is gone so soon in his life. He could have contributed so much more to life. Really really sad about this news. I hope his close ones get comfort in knowing that he managed to influence so many lives in such a short timespan. rest in peace incontrol, we will remember you

I always liked Geoff as a caster/analyst and I always respected him for his sincerity, integrity and his passion for his chosen craft. We've lost one of our best much too soon, and we are poorer for it.

He made breaks all the time to move around, because he had prior experience with a blood clot that was detected by sheer luck. He did all he could to prevent this from happening but it still didn't work.

Oh wow, what an epic post, never saw that. Wish to see what original pic looked like, imagine how weird that looks on porn site. In other hand, even those porn industry bastards realized how badass Geoff was thus put him there as alpha. Hope he's laughing in heaven seeing this.

You are full of shit buddy, if you took the time to search around you'd see that he was in fairly good shape, the best he has been in quite some time, he was working out consistently and his body fat was not that high at all, just fuck off.

Guys, guys, i know its a difficult time but lets do our best to remain civil in this thread. Not all of us are as familiar with Geoff's life as the next nerd so just try and be understanding. I don't think there is any offense meant here so please try and be reasonable, this person is just a tad under informed. We're all affected by this differently but I'd like to urge everyone not to lash out at each other and instead do your best to be constructive. If you can't do that then maybe just leave it alone. It's not going to do any one any good to start throwing F bombs around.

He was truly one of the nicest people I've ever had the opportunity to compete vs in starcraft 2 and one the nicest guys I've ever met at a tournament. Much love Geoff, you will be missed by so many.
