Excellent content! Very slick production too. It's great to get to know the players on a more personal level, it makes us want to root for their success even more.

It''s crazy to think he was that shy when he joined JinAir. He was instantly the best player on the team and carried them quite hard. I always imagined they had a great atmosphere in the teamhouse to support him when in reality he just sat there playing ladder.
Interesting to see Maru characterized as the solitary genius. Serral falls into the same category, but most likely enjoys the loneliness in true Finnish fashion.
After hearing such internal words from Maru, I felt sad and uncomfortable. Deep sadness. I hope he will find as many friends as possible in the near future at Blizzcon and will do everything possible to make it win.

Not having many friends might be not a bad thing at all. Perhaps he just has a vew very good friends. As long as you have friends that you can trust and rely on, I think there is no reason to worry.
Such a awesome video about Maru, its nice to get a closer look at the progamers. Also I dont know why, but I was geeting chils when Flash apeared and taking in the breeze hehe

I think the tastosis parts in general were a little weird and felt superficial, i understand what they were going for but even just a different setting and asking them separately would have improved their appearance a lot imo.
Other than that it was a good video, maru being a loner came as a surprise to me, but i guess he made friends at jinair after all. Missed the clichéd mother speech a bit, but seeign her tear up after maru won his 3rd gsl tournament was emotional as well. Excited for the other videos now, pre blizzcon time is finally here

Some people just don't like to be with other people and prefer to be alone. I am one of these, I hate talking to other people and I do it only as a necessity when I have no other choice(by talking I really don't mean ordering a food but a real true social experience).

Which one is the time traveller? Maru, the parent, or SpeCial, the child, has to have travelled through time since the child was born 4 years before the parent was born.
...or Ziggurat brought inaccuracies. I hope for the time travel.

As far as I understood Artosis in the pylon show they made 4 films about Maru, Rogue, Special and Serral.
Damn, sad - I wanted to see one about Classic
But I'm not really sure. So far it's only those 4 because they were most likely to be at blizzcon but it would make sense to me if they now produced some additional films to show something new at blizzcon.
Rogue's is out! I absolutely hate the part where they decided we need actors to play young rogue and his aunt, everything else is amazing though (and JD has a part in it, making it even better). Might be my favorite even though i really think that the acted flashback was awkward and not necessary.

The casting choice wasn't as good as that soup commercial where Wolf was played by a Korean kid in the flashback.

Yes they only did it for players who were locked in early for Blizzcon.
Also the video is amazing but I'm starting to feel stress they are hyping foreigner what to much, I'm starting to have PTSD of Lilbow. (Plus not sure about the "It's us against them" line lol)
This is harsh but I honestly think they gave way too much attention to his brother. I don't know that guy so why is half the hype video spent on him. I get they are trying to paint a narrative but it was a bit much.

Serral already got his own signature video last year, right? I think it is okay to bring out different narrative this time

I feel Serral's rise to power is something that has been well documented, while the other side of his personality, the family and friends who made him what he is, is as important and I have no problem with that being the narrative focus this time.

And he doesn't even have the Finnish accent, should have bring Welllllmu instead

These things work out because they go at it from a single angle. If you try to fit multiple narratives into a few minutes, it falls apart / become akin to generic YouTube fanmade compillations.
Serral's video was really good in my opinion. The angle was a bit different, and the story followed a long time-span. Great content as always in the video series.
I personally really liked the video. It was very touching to see how the whole family is a part of Serral's journey and how supportive they are. Also I appreciated Protosser's honesty in admitting that he feels some sort of regret that he did not try to see where he could've gotten as a pro if he didn't go to uni, but despite that he is super proud of his little brother and he feels like he can kind of live his own dreams through him.
The Serral piece was really good, precisely because it had Protosser play such a prominent role. Last year's Serral piece wasn't quite as deep a look at the player, but this time around I felt like I was learning something personal about the two brothers.
I like this narrative where we've got two sides of the same coin. Serral's career is Protosser's unfulfilled dream, Protosser's path is Serral's aspiration and perhaps destiny. Cool video.
how can people not wish Serral well at blizzcon is beyond me. Its not like he is an asshole or a one-trick pony... Beating the likes of Maru is almost impossible, which only makes it better.
