The qualifiers for the first GSL Super Tournament of 2018 concluded on March 26th with 14 players advancing from among the 55 participants. Alongside GSL Code S finalists Maru and Stats, they complete the 16-player roster for the upcoming Super Tournament. The list of players is as follows (the official bracket has yet to be drawn):
The GSL Super Tournament will be held from April 4th to April 8th with 30,000,000 Korean Won (approximately $29,000 USD) in total prize money on the line. The Super Tournament bridges season 1 and 2 of Code S, which is GSL's primary, long-format StarCraft II league.
Seriously, it becomes so sad for Cure, to be eliminated twice by soO in two wcs tournaments and a gsl champion, another GSL tournament to one map of the qualification ...
Going 3-2 against soO today is enough to prove that he is top 3 terran world atm.

is the TL equivalent of K*ppa, isn't it? Which is to say, not being serious about Terran being underpowered. I omit it when I go for deadpan humor, but in this case I specifically included it to avoid sounding whiny. And of course the one time I bother doing that, I get called out. The irony.
Using Twitch emojis will get me a TL Warning, so I don't.

The face seems like a troll face. Thanks for clarifying though. Makes me feel less like throwing my computer across the room

GSL needs to give charity spots to Terran players to maintain the illusion of balance.

In all seriousness I never understood why auto seeds into tournaments are necessary. I suppose in this case Maru and Stats are probably too busy preparing for the final to make them go to a qualifier, but it still annoys me for some reason.

He was good way back in the day, when he took that match vs. Dark to get to the finals, but he's gone downhill ever since. Tournament organizers had to do something to placate all the whiners and fanatical fans.

This! I was going through the names like "yup pretty standard", then I saw TRUE, I hope he does well!

TRUE isn't the cheesey player everyone makes him out to be.
OP: Damn, that's one he of a dream line up. I hope aLive does himself proud and not succumb to his usual tendencies :/.

Yeah that's just the GSL. He will still get rekt in WCS, the hardest league/s .

Yeah Scarlett didn't even make past round of 32 at Leipzig and made it to the quaterfinal of GSL. Clearly WCS > GSL :p

As long as sOs is in I'm happy. Still waiting for the day when I can see my two all-time favorites, sOs and Parting, face off against each other.
Also can I just say that looking through brackets on Liquipedia is a beautiful thing. They've really done an amazing job. Even mousing over a player's name highlights his/her entire run.
So apparently True has to forfeit his circuit run to play in this? Why? Isn't GSL WCS Global? Or is Super Tournament WCS Korea exclusive? If it is WCS Korea, how are Zanster, Puck, Has, and the like able to try for qualifiers without living in Korea? Does this mean that if he forfeits the Super Tournament, there will be a wildcard battle?

It's because he's Korean. Theres a thread on it now.
