With Brackets 1 and 2 already in the books, the 32 players of Brackets 3 and 4 gathered to decide the final six participants of the Ro24 group stage in the IEM World Championship.
HeRoMaRinE was the major surprise of Bracket 3. He stormed through the upper bracket, knocking out Snute and Kelazhur on his way to claiming a berth in the main event in two days’ time. Zest, meanwhile, also booked his ticket in three consecutive PvT series. Bunny made a charge through the lower bracket after falling to Zest, but then barely lost to SpeCial, who was fresh off eliminating Snute, in a highly entertaining final qualifying match, locking up a place in the World Championships for the Mexican Terran.
Bracket 4 featured a pair of second round surprises with soO falling to Harstem and Neeb being knocked to the Lower Bracket by Hurricane. The latter secured a spot in the World Championships, while Trap qualified in the other upper bracket qualifying match against Harstem. soO went on to lose to Losira, but Neeb clawed his way back to a final match against Patience, which he won to became the third and final player to make it through it Bracket 4
Zest, HeRoMaRinE, SpeCial Trap, Hurricane and Neeb advance.

OMG the Terran group A. And all the Zergs in group C.

Groups A and C are too heavy on the mirrors for my taste, but they do seem reasonably balanced

Also loving Neeb's chances, having a winning record against everyone except Zest and 50% against Rogue

Ah the auto date function doesn't realize February has only 28 days. Classic technology letting me down.

Group D is a pit of protoss gods, sos, classic and trap. I am cheering for Maru, he is my favorite pro gamer of all esports (although I follow only lol and sc2 :DDD). Maru vs Stats was sick.

Small editorial stuff: Hurricane isn't tlpdized in the text part and Special isn't listed in the summary of qualified players.

Love seeing Neeb & Heromarine go thru - Looking forward to this weekend!
