With day one of the Super Tournament already wrapped up, eight more players took the stage. Most notable among them was sOs, who was seeking to invalidate strong performances by Rogue and Classic a day earlier to hold on to his BlizzCon spot. Meanwhile SSL finalists Stats and Dark met soO and Bunny respectively.
Having delayed Bunny's command center, Dark pounced as Bunny tried to transition to mech. Armed with only hellions and a single siege tank, Dark's roaches, ravagers and zerglings along with queens ferried in overlords were too much for Bunny to handle.
Bunny opened game two with hellion/marine aggression that only managed to damage Dark's third. Dark responded with a zergling runby before massing roaches for a ravager all-in that punished Bunny's 3cc build, giving him a 2-0 advantage.
Dark’s greedy opening gained him a lead and, when Bunny finally moved out with bio/hellbat, Dark stifled the push by cutting off reinforcements. Bunny eventually lifted his main to his third, but banelings killed 25 SCVs as he prepared to attack, bringing the series to an abrupt end.
Stats got off to a slow start on Mech Depot, but ended the game quickly with an adept/immortal timing off three bases. soO tried to defend with hydras and zerglings, but didn't have enough to prevent him from going down a game.
Stats went for charge/archon harassment off three bases in game three, but soO pushed it back with hydralisks before crashing into Stats' natural. Stats’ storms provided a meager defense, but soO simply had greater numbers and tied things up.
Stats massed oracles in game three but soO killed 25 workers with mutalisks in response. Stats then lost his oracles to hydralisks, but defended with charge and storm. soO added lurkers to his composition, but Stats’ army had grown too large and forced soO from the game.
soO's nydus and swarm hosts were slow to pay off on Acolyte, but soO steadily built a lead while keeping Stats' oracles at home. The arrival of mutalisks prompted Stats to attack with his oracles. He killed over 20 drones, but lost all his oracles and died to muta/corruptor soon after.
Game five was a passive affair, with Stats reaching four bases while soO established himself on five. Having defended two warp prisms, soO segmented Stats' army by sieging Stats’ natural with hydra/lurker. Stats’ storms weren't enough to hold, as soO marched on to the Round of 8.
Zest opted for dark templar on Odyssey, but failed to do significant damage. The players macroed up to three bases, with Zest even taking a fourth, but herO mustered a larger immortal/archon army before pushing out to take the game.
Game two turned into a phoenix vs phoenix war. Zest appeared to have the upper hand, but herO's oracles helped him kill 30 probes while only losing 23 of his own. He added on dark templar, killing even more en route to a 2-0 lead.
Ascension to Aiur saw the players engage in a standard macro game. herO was more efficient, however, and owned a 20 supply lead when he attacked Zest's third. Outnumbered, Zest conceded, giving herO the 3-0 sweep.
Ryung and sOs traded blows early in game one, but Ryung endured waves of adepts while building a lead. Needing to make up the difference, sOs forced the issue with a basetrade, but Ryung unpowered all of sOs' gates while defending on his end to go ahead 1-0.
sOs evened the series on Abyssal Reef with a pylon rush featuring stalkers instead of the standard adepts. Ryung lost his depots and nearly all his workers before leaving the game.
Ryung's proxied cloaked banshee made no headway in game one, leaving him at a supply deficit as he teched into mech. He established a strong position outside sOs' natural, even killing sOs' first wave of units, but overstayed his welcome and was eventually cleaned up.
Ryung spent much of game four pinned back by oracles and adepts. When he finally moved out, he kept sOs' army at bay with liberators while pressuring sOs' third. sOs patiently gathered his forces before wiping out Ryung, bringing the match to a close soon after. The victory strengthens sOs’ case position for BlizzCon, demanding even more of Classic and Rogue who will kick off day three with their quarterfinal matches against INnoVation and Dear respectively.

Ro8 has 4 Protoss, 3 Zergs, and 1 Terran. Am I watching a foreign tournament?
So much for the much-vaunted Korean Terrans™

So much for the much-vaunted Korean Terrans™ no a foreigner tournament would be 1 neeb, 1 terran, 6 zerg The other terrans were TIME (lol), aLive, who played the guy who will probably beat innovation, ryung, who hasnt been good in 8 months, maru, who is slumping and played an on fire rogue, and bunny, who is bunny.

ByuN+TY both fell in the qualifiers. At least in theory, the Terrans who qualified should be, well, better qualified than either of them. And yet every single Terran was knocked out in the first round, save for the one that won a TvT.
Obviously, one point is not a trend. But it might be worth keeping an eye on going forward.
