Only top 2 are qualified.
Oh I'm talking about GSL S2 qualifiers, Ro.4 players don't need to play right?

Those are fairly tough brackets. How many qualify from each? Just one? Has to be at least two, I assume if there's only an equally-sized afternoon session and they want 16 players in the real tournament.
Or perhaps four groups in the afternoon, each qualifying two? That would make seven groups, each qualifying two players, plus soO and Stats for a total of 16.

I think it says 2 players qualify from each group, so I suppose there will be four groups in afternoon session.

This poor boy Rogue must be the most disappointing player after Proleague dismissed. I mean his ladder MMR is like over 6700 constantly and he never get out any Premier tournament qualifiers? What the hell is going on with him?
Expected better from him. I mean Ryung isn't hopeless against Protoss, but it it's hardly his specialty either. Didn't think Zest was that far behind Stats. Obviously there's a huge gap, but I didn't think it was that huge.

At the beginning of LotV his PvT was broken, now he's back to being a jabroni
Sadly, it is so. He needs to ask his old buddy Stats for tutoring. Watching him right now is like watching a fish flopping around on the dock, confused and dying. Except this fish used to be a great white shark, an apex predator that once ruled the waves in days gone by.
Crappy metaphors aside, I think he's just trying to find a reliable build(s) right now, one that he can execute perfectly and win the game. He hasn't found it yet, but I'm wondering why he doesn't just copy Stats's builds since they are solid enough to win GSL. Adept/Phoenix and Double Forge-Colossus seem to be working just fine right now against Terran.
I feel bad for Zest but his PvT is bad at the moment. Watching him vs Innovation at SSL was just painful. His PvZ is better but still got rekted by ByuL.

Yeah it was, and I was rooting for INnoVation. It was still painful to watch Zest just collapse to simple, meta-popular pushes like he'd never seen them before.
Two of the best Protoss player during HotS era, sOs ans Zest, is fighting so hard to decide who is worse in LotV atm. But I think it's OK since we have Stats and Hush as their replacement.

LOL. I think Zest is worse. sOs is always sOs with his unusual, cheesy and often crazy style. I like it because it is entertaining and kind of out there. When it works, it works beautifully but when it doesn't, it makes him look super bad :D.

I don't know, LotV is not cheesy-friendly and much more micro-oriented, that's why sOs is not as successful as he used to be atm. On bright side, he always stay in top-tier Protoss doesn't matter what era is in a long term of view, but his peak is never super high except for the end of 2015. He is very stable career-wise, but not consistent between tournaments. Anyway, La Cucaracha never dies, so we will see if he can start to get his form back. Speaking of Zest, I'm not sure why he is in a bad shape, those big changes in LotV shouldn't affect him as much as sOs since his micro id better in general and he actually did good at beginning of 2016, maybe the tank buff got him.

Probably just a ranking thing. They need 4 groups for second session given there are 3 in the morning. 2x7 = 14 players to qualify + 2 GSL finalists = 16 players in total.

What? Where did you see that? This is offline qualifier. They have to show up to even be added in the brackets like GSL qualifier. This is not online tournament thingy where you add yourself into the brackets online.
Then I'm assuming 1-0 means giving up without try? You can check the brackets, we got Dear 1-0 Trap and barcode 1-0 Cure.

yeah, the Afreeca admin/whoever updates the challonge bracket uses 1-0 as a walkover instead of the usual 99-0, the same thing happened during this seasons Code S Qualifiers.

I do see that but that just looks weird. For example, NoRegret is not showing up either while Scarlett is. Make no sense. They should come together given they live in the same house. Now I'm also confused .

Though to be fair, given the brackets, the only Terran who qualified in an upset is Bunny. All the other ones were favorites to make top 2 in their bracket.

Widow nerf doesn't do any good for TvZ. 50% is still T. How annoying. Let get more TvT so we can see more doom drops. That is gonna be so much "fun"... Ugh...

Well, JAWG may have more players qualified if their players actually show up. Cure and Trap didn't show up.
aLive is no slouch of course, but he is disproportionately talented at TvT at the highest level, compared to his TvP and TvZ, which gives him a boost in the current Terran-rich environment. It's a commonality between him, Ryung, Guimiho, and the rest of the second-tier Terrans. It's also the reason they're still second-tier.
To be fair, aLive has a mean TvZ as well, but not good quite enough to beat top-tier Zergs.
Dunno, it seems a bit of a stretch to call it an upset. Neither player has really displayed their current form recently and they were both knocked out in the Ro32 of Season 1.
I suppose I would have said Cure if somebody asked, but I'm not terribly shocked.
Called it a week ago, TY is slumping. He has $$$ and a Blizzcon seed already, why bother to practice? Though he is basically handing the Terran throne to Inno without a fight.

Though it is interesting that INnoVation is basically uncontested on the Terran throne simply by virtue of not slumping the way ByuN, Maru, and TY have (or at least to a lesser degree).

Stats, Inno, and Dark now. One for each race.
INnoVation's TvT has been questionable of late, so I don't think he's that far ahead of the others.

Yes that's true, but I don't really think you can say ByuN, TY, and Maru have any better than questionable TvT either. TY's TvP held him up, just like Inno's TvZ holds him up. But if TY is losing to Creator-level Protosses (if he continues to do so, that is) then he falls behind.

Gumiho is very hug-able like a towel. Even the Proleague booth wanted to hug him.
The most disappointing thing is that KeSPA didn't disqualify the observer for typing 'pp' rather than 'ppp'.
You see, the reason that the broadcasts never show observers is so that KeSPA can haul mistyping observers away to KeSPA jail without the viewers being any the wiser.
It is known.
Back on topic, no matter who wins the last match of Leenock vs Billowy, there will be a perfect 5/5/4 racial distribution for the morning qualifiers. Not bad. Hopefully the afternoon session can do the same.

Is it holidays time in Korea right now? SpeeD retired and got back to studies if I remember correctly, quite surprised to see him playing.
His ID on ladder which he also signed up to the tournament with quite literally translates to Hobby User. So he's probably just playing for fun. I saw him beat ByuN on ladder the other week.

Myungsik showing up and qualifying would have really rounded the whole thing out.
LOL. I just realize the entire JAGW team qualified except Cure... Last season, everyone qualified except Creator. As a team, somehow one person is always left behind!

Normally, it is released in a day or 2 like last Season.
Probably more time this season. Code S started a week after the qualifiers last time, now there's gonna be i think 2 or 3 weeks before it starts so they have no rush to release the groups.
Yeah I know but he have got a job and a team house when he is facing way less talented players without team, what a shame. He is a ghost since gsl s1 2016 ( even if he was close to dark lvl in january).
I hope he will realize it, take the game seriously and improve or retire.

Gratz Scarlett and MajOr!! Impressive especially since he had to win TvP to qualify, granted Hurricane isn't the strongest kid around but still a worthy opponent.

They played StarCraft for hours with IRL content in between, part of the introduction to the IRL category was also a shift in the way that Twitch treats non-gaming content on the site, and part of that is allowing streamers to be more lax about what they do on stream as long as it doesn't severely violate the TOS and someone associated with the channel owner is interacting with or acknowledging viewers. Besides that, there's also a case for him streaming under StarCraft 2 instead of IRL what with the fact that StarCraft 2 fans are the ones who want to watch the steam, not IRL fans, so streaming under SC2 benefits NoRegret, the viewers and SC2 community, as well as Twitch. It's a win-win-win.
After writing all this out idk if it's actually a joking question or not but oh well!
