Alive was just some mid-tier WCS AM Terran. In fact, Scarlett 3-0'd him on one of her WCS runs around the same time. Maru had just come off of his OSL run. In LotV aLive's been in his best form since the first half of 2012. | ||

WCS NA was kinda stacked back in the day. | ||

Yes he was, he made 2 top 8 WCS america sure it's not GSL but it was pretty stacked he beat Maru 2-0 in group stage during WCS final Season 2 before losing 3-2 to First in the Ro8 who just had beaten Polt 4-0 And WCS final Season 1 he lost to Soulkey (GSL winner) and Innovation (GSL "runner up, I would have won if it was BO5") After WCS Season 2 Maru was on another planet and aLive slumped hard but right at that time aLive was still a very strong player | ||

Only TY and ByuN were relevant in 2016 individual leagues (Maru was only good for /!\ rip /!\ proleague), now ByuN is slumping but INnovation is back in form... aLive was doing well at the start of LotV in SSL where only him and ByuN managed to go "far", he is kind of hit or miss in his performances. It still seems odd that she lost to aLive of all terrans. | ||

With that said, Scarlett and aLive played really good games, and it was hardly a cake walk for aLive. Scarlett made some mistakes, and aLive capitalized on them. | ||
