I feel like it's just people always being harsh when someone says in an interview something that contradicts facts, statistics and recent tournament results. And I think it's a little justified as long as it's kept civil. Are you sure it's not just your selection bias making you think it's a Korean vs foreigner thing? ^^

Statistically she's one of the best foreigners vs Koreans there is.

Wins vs a some good Koreans in 2017 and the series she has dropped have been to top foreigners like Neeb and Snute. Nothing of that says she can't be confident.

I'm not sure how her saying she's confident goes against any of that. Statistically she's one of the best foreigners vs Koreans there is. Statistically, Byun and Innovation are at 69% and 76% TvZ, respectively. Scarlett's ZvT is at 56%. ^All since the latest patch. "Best foreigner" doesn't change those statistics. It just means she isn't getting completely roflstomped, relatively speaking. I dunno about you, but if I were Scarlett, I would not be "confident" with those numbers. EDIT: To be fair, mentality is super important and I can totally understand if Scarlett is trying to avoid going into the match believing she will lose. Obviously that would only hurt her own performance.

If we trust her (which seems reasonable in this case) there really is no reason to deny her that confidence she speaks of ![]() Yes tournament games are what matters but practice games build your skill and confidence. GO SCARLETT ![]()

But doing well in practice against two S class terran players surely is a good sign. You still have to translate that into games that acually matter though, no doubt about that. I just think it's incredibly stupid to argue if she has the right to be confident, it's absurd tbh, ofc good practice results create confidence -.-

Would be weird if a professional wasn't confident. May as well not bother in that case.
