Rifkin here, with a small comment: Loved the write up, but just wanted to add in, one of the largest struggles this tournament has faced more recently was it's schedule change. There was a large fear that with such a drastic change (Mornings, on a weekend for those in North America -> Tuesdays, middle of the week at 3 AM) support from the fans would drop. So I'm hijacking this thread via reply to thank those Patrons that have continued to make this tournament possible. The first couple of months the Olimoleague ran, we were all digging deep into our own pockets to even test whether it'd be possible, but for 2 years now the fans have been showing us exactly how much they want a Korean weekly, and I'm glad the same passion is still there.
So seriously, thanks to all those who have stuck with us through the fluxuating times, formats, etc and continued to support by watching the Olimoleague, BUT AN EXTRA SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE PATRONS THAT MAKE IT ALL EVEN POSSIBLE <3 Thanks for helping to keep it running for the past three years <3 Just now realized you are littlemunchkin. This will bother me for far longer than it should
2 days after changing and people have already forgotten my old name this is why i changed :[

I'm glad you approve of my first effort as Trial Writer. Despite missing a fair number of today's games (EST was really brutal for the time slot the tournament took place in), the games I did see were excellent (big soO fan, so extremely satisfied with the result). It's really wonderful for viewers such as I, who have so much interest in the Korean scene, that a tournament series exists where one can see Code S quality play year round on a regular basis. The Olimoleague fills a void that was missing for a large portion of Starcraft 2 and I hope it remains a fixture of the scene forward. The role BasetradeTV has played in helping the Olimoleague is incalculably valuable. I hope you continue to receive the support you've gotten thus far to ensure your collaborative effort thrives.

although he lost I think the writers failed to give rung enough credit coming into this, Ryung might look questionable sometimes in tvz and tvp but he has always and forever been a top level tvt player, even though he usually losses to byun the games they play are often really close, Ryung often has the strategic advantage in these games. he gets ahead through better bo/ decision making but Byun's mechanics are just to strong.

I agree with you - except against Byun. He wasn't playing against the top 5 or 10 Terrans he was playing against the top 1.
In every game, Byun was clearly ahead. The only game Byun lost was a huge blunder losing all his vikings and never being able to come back.
Does this vindicate you and absolutely prove that Ryung is one of the best? Hell yeah. But he did go down 1-3.
