uThermal is leaving his long time team AT Gaming after DH Montreal. He also left a hint as to his new team

Which ever team will pick up (T)uThermal will probably have the strongest terran outside of Korea.
The harder it becomes, the more you should focus on the basics.

Moving doesn't mean improving. Good results this and last week do not mean he will get far in Montreal for example, in fact I seriously doubt he will have great results there. Chances for Blizzcon are close to zero. The statement form AT Gaming would indicate he does not have a new team yet and in all truth he might have a problem finding a better team and conditions.

Not really, uThermal's success was mostly based on cheese, he was incredibly lucky in China. It's not possible to repeat that or at least it is most unlikely. AT Gaming's statement speaks for itself. Also I personally do have an idea of how teams operate and what kind of conditions they offer.

His success was not only based on cheese and he did show AMAZING macro games.

Also you no knowledge of how this parting took place.

The early statement from AT gaming on their facebook page if anyone was wondering what they said

Marc “uThermal” Schlappi goes WCS Montreal! In 3 days, uThermal will play his first match at the 2016 WCS Summer Circuit Championship, which takes place during DreamHack Canada Open: Montreal. His first opponent will be the Finnish player Serral.
After his win at IEM Shanghai he has a chance to qualify for Blizzcon, the World Championship, but he has to get a top 4 result. Make sure to cheer on our Terran player on the 12th!

Montreal will be the last event for uThermal under the AT banner. During the contract negotiations it became clear for both parties that with the performances from uThermal this last year, with among others winning IEM Shanghai, it is time for him to make the next step in his career.
We’ll make a grand post about this later this month, but we wanted to announce this now, so other organisations have the time to pick uThermal up.

incredibly lucky?rofl

I'm not saying uThermal is a bad player, he is among the best players in the EU. However, he was very lucky to play in IEM as he did not qualify for it, in fact he got there by pure coincidence - that is very lucky.
He is good but not as good as Snute and he clearly has a weakness against Zerg, 2 cheesy games gave him the upper hand. The games against Elazer played out in a similar fashion. In these two matches he had a very slim chance to win in pure macro games, nevertheless cheese paid off, it was a good decision - but it is very lucky that it worked. He wasn't lucky with Violet or Neeb, simply because he is better than Violet and TvP plays out in a different manner. While I respect his achievement and sincerely congratulate him I do not think he could repeat the result even if exactly the same tournament was played over again even 10 times in a row. So, yes, I think he was incredibly lucky.

He went 6-4 in 2 weeks against Snute with different styles and almost all games were close at minimum (besides some cheeses). I don't see any reason not think of him as at least as good as Snute.

Now that "Acer" confirmed that they will have sc2 players, uThermal is highly likely to join them imo.

Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Anybody discrediting Uthermal's victory due to 'cheese' is a joke. He WON Shanghai, and almost made it to the finals in the other tournament, losing to Snute 3-4. If he was so cheesy Snute would've crushed him in the second series, but he dropped 3 games and it came down to a game 7.

Any Terran that has a winning record against Snute, doesn't crumble under pressure, and performs well against Protoss (and is a foreigner) is something to be treasured, as it is remarkably rare.

Tell me the last time a foreign Terran won a major even like Uthermal did? It's virtually unheard of.

Okay so if you want to argue like that I'll try to show you the progamer perspective. If you go by the " lets play this whole series again" logic you will find alot of upsets and alot of results you would never expect! Since all that players do is prepare for a tournement so lets make an example: uThermal comes in with build X to counter Style Y from player Z. But if Z knows X he can change Y right ? That's exactly how tournements work ... preparation for your opponents and executed builds that may not work again you can't call this luck! This is just a nice example of how hardwork can pay off in this case since uThermal took the time to think and to come up with such strategys. So if you go by your logic every tounement win was sort of lucky since most styles do have a counter and every map is winnable if you take a look into it theres always a corner pros are cutting which couldve been abused!

I see it otherwise, if you do a cheese like with a three rax proxy attack - you are all-in. The chances that you will be scouted are about 50%. If you will be scouted you get an auto-loss. You are depending to a much lesser extent on skill (although it does matter) than on luck. Generally, you do it when you feel you will have a bigger problem in a macro game. The fact that uThermal played Violet instead of Nerchio was also rather lucky. I'm not saying this is bad or diminished his success, but luck was a very important factor. SOme say that better players get lucky - hope this satisfies you :-)

Team Acer doesn't drop for another 6 or so days. If they pick up uThermal, they can pretty much be comfortable with a solid Terran to bolster the ranks.

The Chances to be scouted 50% is not true in this case. Snute never drone scout vs terran and Uthermal checked Snute overlord path in all his game on that map. The overlord of Snute was going under the main to check proxy there (it's a better location for the terran). Also Uthermal defeated Nerchio with this build after being scouted immediatly. I'll ensure you that to win with this build when you have half arrmy supply of your opponent you have to be better in microing and snute did some micro mistakes that cost him that game while uthermal microed pretty much perfectly. You can tell the difference for example when marinelord is doing this build, his micro was worst and he lost. So in my opinion even in that game skill was involved. About 3 rax reapers, well that is not a cheese, its a heavy pressure.
