Obviously it's based on WCS points. There're 6 players without any points, so they're facing No.1-No.6 (randomly maybe). The 7th is Elazer, he's facing XY who qualified with lowest points (175). Violet is 8th, and facing Kalazhur who is second lowest (240). You can continue to map the rest players easily. For Nerchio, if he could beat Violet in IEM Shanghai then he can surpass Polt and be in a good position for this. But he failed, so he's still No.3 and have to be in the same quad with Neeb (No.6). Also in second round he has to face winner of No.14 and No.19 (Puck/Scarlett), consider Scarlett's HSC performance and Nerchio's ZvZ is his worst match-up this may not be that easy like their match in Spring Circuit. So that's all bad consequences of not beating Violet in IEM Shanghai. For Neeb it's the same, if he could win IEM shanghai he can be in No.5 which should be a slightly better quad than he has now, especially consider he's not fear of ShowTime (just 3-0'd). So now we can only see Polt continue lay on his success from Winter Circuit and get relatively quite easy to at least ro8. Though his recent Leifeng cup run make a little bit come back sign for him. All WCS events uses this seeding system, for example IEM Shanghai with Polt out Hydra is No.4 and Neeb is No.5 so you're sure to see Hydra vs Neeb in second round. (Except the open tournaments like DH Valencia) Don't know if most people like this seeding system, but I think it's at least better than pure random. And, there're always amazing things happen, especially on Circuit events. Still remember Strange almost take down Polt? And the miracle run by ShowTime (at least at that time). So hopefully there're some new kings or even 0 point players can bring something amazing.

No, actually the only person without points is True, who should be playing Showtime in the first round. Generally, seeds/matchups are based on WCS points with a few strange exceptions.
