These are going to be LONG broadcasts. At thirty games a piece it will probably take 8-10 hours. Really surprised they didn't plait it up between 2 days.

They could be played simultaneously and only one would be broadcasted at a time ...

If it's BO1 per matchup, this could be quick.

I'm hoping it's BO3. 5 rounds of 3 matches played simultaneously (with a feature game broadcasted for each round), so we get to watch 5 games live at least.

It is neither BO1, nor BO3. It is 2 games. So the score can be 2:0, 0:2 or 1:1. So each player will play 10 games.

So it's like home and away games format, 10 matches standing on its own (1:1 counting as a win each, instead of a draw)? Quite a neat format. The only worry with so many matches stretched out is that you may have a runaway leader with a 6-0 or 7-0 record and he takes his foot off the gas in his last few matches (unless finishing top comes with some seeding perks).

Regarding a group of Death, none of these Groups are comparable to a regular group of death. We are used to groups of 4 were 2 advance, a group of death usually meant we had atleast 3 players of real star quality were its hard to tell who is actually going to advance, group D is pretty damn straight forward in my Eyes, Zest, Maru and herO. The other three are scrubs in comparison.
A comparable group in the old system would be zest, maru, reality and losira. Group of death? not really.

Group A: TY, soO and Bomber (closest group in my opinion, Trap and Cure are strong)
Group B: Classic, sOs and Gumiho.
Group C: Dear, Rogue and ByuN. (the last player to come through feels like a tossup)
Group D: Maru, Zest and herO.

Tbh, group d is the easiest group to predict. Much easier than the other three groups, so it's not a group of death at all.

i wouldn't call reality a scrub he has beaten quite a lot of high level players in proleague. I think it's certainly possible he advances from this group.

Super took Inno, Dear and Gumiho down last SPL. I would say he is at least equal to Reality, they are good players sure but they are scrubs compared to Maru, Zest and herO. In my opinion anyway, ofc you may think differently, but the result will speak for themselves

I mean, depends, right? If they just take a break after 15 games they'll have like 90 minutes to relax.

Still no information on the streaming platform though :S

Aka the ladder map pool.

Will be interesting to see how much downtime there'll be between games with this format.

Does SPOTV have an estimation for the length of the break between the rounds on each day of Challenge?

Why are there no Liquibets for this by the way? Can the system not handle that many players at once?
