Choi "Polt" Seong Hun, Professional Starcraft 2 Player:
"Hello everyone, I am very excited to announce my new team. It has been a long time since I have been apart of an organization, and I couldn't be more thrilled to join one such as Team EnVyUs.
After speaking with Mike and my manager, it was very clear the organization's goals are in line with my own. I want all my fans to know that I have never been more dedicated to StarCraft, and my drive to win will remain the same as it has for years.
I look forward to representing EnVyUs across global stages for years to come. Please support and cheer for me, viOLet, and the entire EnVyUs organization!"
Mike “Hastr0” Rufail, Managing Director of Team EnVyUs:
“It’s a great honor to bring Polt under the EnVy banner. Polt is the kind of player any organization would be extremely proud of signing. EnVy has a tradition of bringing on the kind of talent that reaches the podium. With Polt, that tradition will continue. We look forward to working with Polt, for years to come.”
Andrew Tomlinson, Manager of Polt and Founder of CSA:
"Polt is perhaps one of the most driven and disciplined persons I have met in my life. It has been an honor and privilege to have worked with him now for over 3 years and to be apart of what he has accomplished since moving to America in 2013.
He not only is a colleague and business partner, but also one of my good friends. I couldn't be more excited for Mike, Polt, and the entire EnVyUs organization on their new partnership!"
That's surprising, I think most people expected Polt to have his last year in Starcraft. He's also still due for his military service I'm pretty sure.
GRatz to polt and EnvyUs. I sure hope most eSport organizations were after the guy. Polt is probably the best player to have in SC2 for a sponsor, period. I would be sad if big names didn't even try.
While him joining the same team as Violet isn't the most surprising its still great to hear. I wonder if they're negotiating with other NA teamless stars

Hm, Scarlett wants to join a KeSPA team and Neeb is with Ting now. I don't think there are more teamless players of the caliber that Envy expects.
Overall it's super cool to see Envy invest more into sc2 and with Ting joining the NA scene looks healthier for sure now.

There's still puck and state. And I completely agree, seeing new sponsors come in to NA starcraft is really great to see. CLG/TSM when?

I don't know Polt's citizenship status in the U.S. - but does he have to do military service if he's living overseas? What if he just stays in the U.S. until he's 27 or older?
Either way, great to see one of the bestest personalities in the game getting some sponsorship.
I swear I see Nespresso's logo for two seconds when I look at their logo Good luck to both parties, though kinda surprised that a team is ready to do a multi-year investment in eSports
Cool news, but I have never heard about them. What is their best game/result? They are saying they are here from 2007 which confuses me even more(that I haven't heard). Damn...
Great news, gratz Polt! You are one of the foreigners I like!

viOlet is also in EnVyUs, so that's probably their best result?

I think he still is, unless he doesn't have any plan to return to KR ever again. From what I know, avoiding military service = treason, unless you have legit reason, such as handicapped, mentally unstable, or such
i doubt any other major organizations will be diving into sc2, it just isn't a sound business idea.. stephano is currently leading the starcraft viewer count with a whooping 400 viewers... how many pages do i have to travel down to find a 400 viewer league of legends or hearthstone stream? this game isn't dead, but it also isn't growing.

I know Violet said after he got his athlete visa that his ultimate goal was US citizenship. Polt might be going for the same.
I think this is a recent decision. I have been requesting Polt to free lance for us in future tournament(rule allows teamless players), and it is not rejected for a reason that he is not going to be teamless.

EnVyUs was a Call Of Duty team at the beginning. Don't know what they achieved on that game. Early 2015, they picked the LDLC CS:GO lineup, which got consistently around top 4 at big events throughout 2015. Slumping in June, they swapped players and got in the finals of the next Major (CS:GO biggest tournaments, only 3-4 a year), and won the Major after. So that's been a pretty successful CS:GO team, around top 4 during 2015.
Then, they also got viOlet for a year or so now for SC2.

400 is the highest? What time did you check the stream for SC2? Pretty sure Nathanias can get 1K+ easily and Polt much more

Cool, thanks. Never followed CoD =)
According to Liquipedia, EnVyUs has won 8 premier events in CS:GO during 2015-2016. Dreamhack Cluj-Napoca being their most prestigious win. They got 2nd place at ESL One, losing to Fnatic but ended up beating Fnatic in a best of 5 a month later, 3:2. At Dreamhack they beat Fnatic and beat Na-Vi twice. So yea 2015 was a good year for EnVyUs in CS:GO

Scarlet really wants to join a kespa team? The Dream *_*
all great that Polt has a new team, but EnvyUs is known for not holding promises and some players from other games have left the team since they were not paid their salary...

What do you mean by LDLC? Can you explain it to me?
