Since HyuN is going to HSC over qualifying for GSL/SSL this means 1 of 2 things 1 he knows something about wcs that we don't know or 2 he may be retiring soon which is why he didn't wanna commit to GSL/SSL

We all know that those players will certainly/most likely be there, but you don't put guesses for which no source exists into a news. They will keep announcing players and then I will add them.
Solar will not be there because of SSL/GSL qualifiers, they are searching for replacements for Solar, Stork, Reality and Zest.

I'm pretty happy with the lineup. Sure, it's not exactly the strongest we've ever seen, but to me HSC was never really about the games. To me it's more about the relaxed enviroment and loose atmosphere, and I think the lineup suits that type of event well.

The way the topics work in a forum is that someone submits a new post like this www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/499823-player-list-for-hsc-xii#1 and people reply to the content in that post. The tree is in the post. People can put whatever they want in the post. The people replying are on topic if they're discussing things in the post or relevant to the post. I took an interest in the tree and other relevant topics and the people responsible were quite rude about it, discouraging me from taking an interest rather than being receptive to the very thing that is most natural to expect when posting content on a forum. That's not nice. And they go against their own interests just to be rude to me. It's against their interests because every time someone replies, this topic gets bumped to the top of the list of topics in this subforum. By discouraging me from discussing their topic, it receives less attention. Discussion is what the replies are for. But it's supposed to be on topic discussion, so the matter about me earning Picasso's respect is not appropriate discussion. I think the players are the ornaments to show that without these players (ornaments) the christmas tree (hsc) would be just another fir tree. You couldn't tell it apart from any other tree in the woods (sc2 tournament scene). Only these players make it special so we can celebrate christmas like it is supposed to be.
ironic how someone brought this thread off topic, while complaining about the very same thing & in the end taking this thread for a ride about themselves. But the graphic quite simply is just a Christmas touch since the holiday is approaching. The players as ornaments are nothing more & dont have to be anything more than just placement holders for the names of the players themselves. If you've seen a Xmas tree before, you'll recognize what its supposed to look like & therefore understand why the players are displayed as such. The players couldnt be pine needles, they couldnt be branches, but they could be ornaments on a tree because the Christmas Holiday is coming up. The way the topics work in a forum is that someone submits a new post like this www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/499823-player-list-for-hsc-xii#1 and people reply to the content in that post. The tree is in the post. People can put whatever they want in the post. The people replying are on topic if they're discussing things in the post or relevant to the post. I took an interest in the tree and other relevant topics and the people responsible were quite rude about it, discouraging me from taking an interest rather than being receptive to the very thing that is most natural to expect when posting content on a forum. That's not nice. And they go against their own interests just to be rude to me. It's against their interests because every time someone replies, this topic gets bumped to the top of the list of topics in this subforum. By discouraging me from discussing their topic, it receives less attention. Discussion is what the replies are for. But it's supposed to be on topic discussion, so the matter about me earning Picasso's respect is not appropriate discussion. I think you're mistaken about what's moot and my advice to you (to return the favor) is that you go back to the drawing board on understanding how this all works.

Obesity and diabetes are associated with clogged arteries. A lot of people with those conditions drink sugary beverages. But there's no direct connection between sugar and clogged arteries and certainly not one so extreme that when you see a metaphor comparing someone to a coke that you'd think it's trying to say that they're a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

Not sure who the 32nd player is for now. 8 from the qualifiers, 8 from the first christmas tree, 14 from this one and TLO from the mystarcraft interview. That's 31 for now.

If I had to guess, I would think that the people behind the event are a bit sad that the community has had as many negative reactions to their lineup as it did, especially because they aren't totally responsible for it (circumstances are more difficult now than they have been in the past to get a lot of top Koreans). And because of this, they couldn't keep their composure and remain professional and irrationally took it out on me.

Maybe because as a former pro player I expect some respect towards the pros participating in the tournament. For some people you might still be someone to look up to. I always had a pretty good picture of you but I guess that is gone. How can anyone be such an idiot on purpose as well.
I can understand people that are disappointed to not have more Koreans and refer to this lineup inferior to a lineup with KeSPa Koreans but flat out calling those players subpar or bad is disrespectful.
Just wanna say that I find the line-up pretty amazing already, even without considering the fact that a lot of koreans could not come even if they wanted to!
The game is new (and I'd say it has more potential for fun as a player and spectator), having that many good foreigners, some returning a bit (Shura/Stephano for example!) and the fun HSC casting will make for a very nice viewer experience that I'm looking forward to!

You literally can't comprehend a person participating in a discussion without any ego. That's how fucked up you are and all the people like you. You read a discussion not at face value but rather "who is the author, what is his history, and is he trying to wrong me in some way?" This event has always been about entertainment first and quality matches second. For me it is the best sc2 event to watch because of the personalities involved. You get both hilarious commentary as well as pro level insight into the matches, and much shenanigans going on in the background. I think the line-up is great, and having more than a handful of koreans only hurts the event. The people whining about not having the "best possible players" are completely out of touch with what HSC has always been, and shouldn't even be in this thread.

Dude, how can you, and anyone else, not understand that his christmas tree pictures were just a kind of themed backstory/power rank like there has been countless times on TL. So it's perfectly fine all those times to represent players by metaphorical objects, but when it's a christmas tree, suddenly it's weird and strange and NoNy must be mentally perturbed right? Well they are the first 8 invited players that are confirmed. Expect 2 more christmas trees with invited players. The others are the qualified players. I put 4 more players who were mentioned in the original HSC announcement into the OP, since people kept mentioning them, but they are technically not confirmed yet. It only said "expect to see players like..."

Are there not enough confirmed players to fill another Christmas tree? What is the significance of announcing them by Christmas tree? They could be announced as they're confirmed or they could all be confirmed and then announced simultaneously but instead they're announced by Christmas tree.

Well they are the first 8 invited players that are confirmed. Expect 2 more christmas trees with invited players. The others are the qualified players. I put 4 more players who were mentioned in the original HSC announcement into the OP, since people kept mentioning them, but they are technically not confirmed yet. It only said "expect to see players like..."

Stop thinking so much, might hurt yourself. Its simply that we dont announce all of the players at the same time. HSC XII is short before christmas and thus christmas themed.
Or in TL;DR: You guys turned this thread into something it shouldn't have been in a combined effort.

Afaik Rotti probably didnt have time to perfect the #RottiBuild since lotv came out, in order to adapt it to the expansion, but he just resumed streaming heavily so im sure its a matter of time until he does

So Destiny just landed in Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle and I can't think of any other reason than HSC, for him to fly to Europe today. I always enjoy his casts, should be fun .
