After winning the 2015 SPL season and with iloveoov winning the coach of the year award, SK Telecom T1 had their best year in SC2 history. In preparation for next year, SKT has released their contract renewal information.
Coaches: (No Changes) iloveoov Kwon Oh Hyuk Park Dae Kyung
As it stands right now, it looks like SKT doesn't really have any plans to undergo a major roster change. Looks like they're just sticking with old reliable as they aim for the 2016 season. The contract renewal information release date was delayed because negotiations with one specific player (name undisclosed) took longer than expected.
I expect 2016 to be Zerg heavy and soO and Dark can deliver SKT to win actually. Also expect to see Samsung rise with Solar beign the best LotV player currently.
The roster is very strong but that is from a HotS perspective, the true test will be if all the players transition well into LotV, if any of the players struggle then I imagine some roster changes will occur.
Completely break PL with Inno/Dream/Maru, Zest/Classic/sOs, and Dark/soO/Life.
That's the dream team, arguably the top 3 from each race on 1 team. Now notice how SKT already owns 5 out of those 9 players. It's no wonder they won PL last year, and will probably do so again this year.
I would be willing to bet that Dark is going to be an absolute monster this year. His late game was already incredible, and with how strong zerg looks there? The player to watch imo.

EG won TI5 and kicked out aui.
And what did they win afterwards?
It's hard to say if they would be in a better spot with Aui at this point. They are not collapsing and are still definitely top tier.
I wonder how arteezy feels - left EG to join, on paper, dream team in secret only to fail and rejoin EG and be the only non TIwinner member of the team.
damn, SKT is still really strong, I didn't even realised Sorry was in the team roster. The thing about SKT is that they usually only give some certain players the chance to shine, and the others are just... kinda there even though they are excellent players too.
Kinda sad to see one of the young prospects leave. I hope he finds a new team soon. But still this roster looks super strong and is probably the strongest off all PL teams. I just hope they give their other young players like Zoun, impact and Sorry more chances to prove themself in LotV. Would not be cool if all this talent was wasted on the bench.

Don't sleep on LOTV and Samsung. As we saw in HOTS new game = new players rise and old players fall #DRG/Alicia/Symbol

Yeah, Samsung definitely has a good shot at suprising a lot of people. Especially if Solar can finally show constant performance in PL. But in my opinion SKT still has one of the best rosters, at least talent and potential wise. I think everything but another finals appearance would be an disappointment with this roster.
Eh. The other teams know how good Solar is right now. But there's his stream aswell as vods and replays from every online cup. Every team will prepare to hardcounter his style.

Gogo Solar.
This SKT lineup is freaky good though. Excited to see what their Terrans come up with.
It's been a big year for oov. Didn't he get married this year, too? I'm also glad the SKT are sticking with their core players. Going to be interesting when Proleague comes round. I'm really pumped :ays

Oov has already been married for quite some time now. Also, what does :ays mean?
