I really enjoy having them casting in Heroes as well.

We lose Tod & Kaelaris, two of the tried and true casters who have stuck with the non-Korean SC2 scene for years. No Wolf or Valdes, who with Moonglade were the main casters this year with the rise of SSL and the demise of the non-Korean scene. They also frequently casted GSL when Tastosis had other games on their agenda. Tastosis simply aren't that good. They are all hype and they clearly have other games on their agenda. Day9 hasn't casted Sc2 in a year. Maynarde is awful and doesn't understand the game at all ("Colossus Den" anyone?)

It's been jokingly called Colossus Den since the start of WoL. I love Maynarde, he brings the good kind of hype. I do agree that it's a shame Kaelaris and Tod are not present for the finale weekend but hey, Heroes needs good casters too.

Instead they bring people that are barely involved in the scene nowadays... when Wolf and Valdes have made such a huge contribution to sc2, this sure is so unfair. I'm very disappointed and sad T.T At least Moonglade will be there... Guess I will be watching some korean streams this year. Blizzard simply showing they care more about corporate greed (i.e., who is generally perceived as a more marketable caster to a wide audience) than the Starcraft family of casters who have kept broadcast StarCraft going week in and week out for the past several years.

I'm pretty sure all the people they've invited have done a lot for StarCraft over the past few years, as players, hosts and casters. The only one you could make an argument against is Day9, who has done 0 SC2 content since IEM San Jose, but even so, you specifically mention the past several years. What are Blizzard supposed to do? Fly in everybody who casted a WCS event this year? That's an absurd amount of people.

LOL. I've seen some things in this thread, but this takes the cake.

One of the best ways to do that is to remind them of all the good things they remember about the game at its height, Day9 and Tastosis both create that Nostalgic feeling. That is why they have also seeded Nony and QXC into the blizzcon finals.
