To repeat my thoughts from the other thread, SKT is disgusting in Bo7 matches. However I think this went really, really well for JinAir as almost all of the matchups are somewhat doable and Maru/sOs/Rogue are not "lost" on weaker players (if I can even used that expression for SKT).
Sorry, soO, Rogue & Classic should be favoured, other two are 50/50 I think for SKT to lose this, INno would have to go 0-2 and I don't see that happening
I honestly have no clue who wins this. sOs might continue his streak, even against Innovation. Dream vs Maru, they are evenly matched, but we haven't seen much of Dream lately, etc. etc. All these matchups have huge question marks hovering over them. Exciting!
Hi guys. I wonder if anyone of you could explain me the rules of the "matchmaking". Do both the teams just create a list from 1-6 and and then 1.vs.1, 2.vs 2. etc. or do they or the SPL have any influence in the matchmaking? Thx!

They're given the map order then blind pick players.

Such sick matchups ! I think Jin Air will win the first two maps, then soO wins, then it's all on INno vs sOs. INno wins, shit goes to ace. sOs wins, it's a 4-1.
The time is upon us. Hoping for an epic 7 games. Last year's Grand Finals were pretty lackluster. Each game looks very hard to call (other than soO wrecking).

Rain vs Zest was one-sided in Rain's favor
Rain was slightly favored but it was close to a coin flip going in. And Rain ended up winning. So no idea what your point is. Nowhere near the skill difference between soO/Pigbaby. Not even accounting for the map (Iron Fortress) which further slants it in soO's favor.
Cure > Sorry Maru > Dream Pigbaby > soO sOs < Innovation Rogue < Dark Trap < Classic
Ace Rogue > Innovation
Personally I feel these matchups are favorable for SKT though. Dark is only one I would favor against Rogue. Inno vs sOs is also favorable for SKT, Classic vs Trap as well. The only good draws for jin air would be Pigbaby vs soO(Pigbaby gets a decent shot) and Maru vs Dream. Cure vs Sorry is a tossup
I feel like the huge wildcard here is Cure vs. Sorry. Cure hasn't looked great recently and we've not seen Sorry in a long time. I think if Cure can take it, Jin Air has a good chance of at least taking it to an ace match, but if Sorry wins, we're looking at SKT winning 4-1 or 4-2.
The timing couldn't be better...Columbus Day weekend! It's been a while since I've been able to see an event during the live broadcast, I'm very excited.

I think your math is a little off there friend, how can a Bo7 series go to ace match with only 5 games played?

Yup, apparently is generates hype, so if someone fucks up, even if they would have all killed on day 2, thats okay because it is hype or something
Your logic is absurd and shows a lack of depth. There's very few redo's in life for anyone. You could hypothesize forever about how any outcome could have been different if there was always another chance afterwards. And you'll always be left wondering 'what if'.
I like the BO3 matches for the quarters and semis. It helps ensure that the most deserving team makes it to the final. JAGW has clearly proven they are with a 4-0 record.
SKT left zero doubt that they were the dominant team during the entire 2015 Proleague season. And one of the most winning in any season ever.
It's a team league, not an individual one, so it's only fitting that the Grand Finals is a BO7, winner-take-all. For the top teams, a big part of the regular season is identifying (and cultivating) which 6 players will be able to withstand the pressure when it matters most in the season ending playoffs. Now is the ultimate test.

Bo3 finals in Brood War were usually pretty shit and not really worth the added cost of renting a venue for three days as opposed to one. Trial and error - if nothing else, KeSPA-related organizations have plenty of experience to draw from.

I don't think I'm necessarily hating on the concept of a bo1 Finals so much as the playoffs structure (Bracket system > climb the ladder)
