GuMiho is not as 'flashy,' but he's still a good Terran
I wasn't talking about Flash, that was not very realistic. I was really hoping they got Fantasy to come though.
Damn you Proleague!!! I am very sure Flash would've come if it wasn't during the SPL playoffs phase.
He plays KeSPA Cup a day or so after HSC finishes anyway.
So there was really no way for him to come, he might be at the winter edition if it's during the off season.
Oh if anyone is wondering, Ret was invited and announced as a player before, but coouldn't make it. He will still show up for 1 or 2 days and just chill.

Like, if it was obvious KT wouldn't make the round playoffs he might have come despite KeSPA Cup (the KC qualifiers were just last week, I reckon the HSC invites have been going on for a lot longer). But then again, it's not like he's Rain or PartinG and can afford to just skimp on tournaments with WCS points and still have a good shot at Blizzcon.
I wonder if we will see a return of more alcohol on stream, maybe even looping louie since it's no longer a WCS tournament. But I guess twitch is also stricter with that nowadays, although drunk streams from BTTV or other streamers don't seem to be a problem
I feel like Gumiho is more likely to upset Parting than Rain is. Rain's very very good, but Parting's clearly more skilled at weekend tournament formats than him.
Group B is group of death. Group H is a joke. Ryung is by far the weakest korean and there is no tier 1 foreigner in it (bunny, snute lilbow, marinelord, tlo, etc)
If Broski wins a map the hype will be real... it's likely though that if he wins a map the world will implode, the sky will divide itself and we see Nestea and Hasu, the two true Gods of Starcraft, smiling at their son from heaven..

So this is confirmed? The issues are resolved and they've got a set schedule for the move?
Take talked on stream about a set date were the new location should open but I don't know the exact date anymore. I believe it was at the end of July. Their pace now, that the legal issues are resolved, is pretty fast. It helps that there are like 5-15 TakeTv Ultras everyday to help them. Edit: The new location will definetly be ready for the next HSC

This will also be the first ever HSC without the calm voice of Socke or 6 time ESL Champions HasuObs. Both were always participating since the very first HSC.

I'm sure now that he's free from KeSPA Rain will be glad to take part in those.

Oh duh. Not sure how I forgot about that.
Should have invited Fuzer as a replacement F-Terran

Rain and Parting are best buds, time to watch them sweep the poker tables.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. This Group G - Jesus, well, seems like more or less all my favorites and in that fucking same group. What the actual fuck. I am so sad and broken now.
LP has a US qualifier listed but with no final result. Neither of those players are in the line up. Did they both just opt out since they would have to pay their way?
It is the first time that a fresh made GSL Champ comes to the HSC, or?
With PartinG, Rain, Gumigod, Patience and Hyun we got were strong koreans (yeah, still a skillgap between them, but strong), With Bunny, Snute, Lilbow, Marinelord, Showtime, TLO, and other the top notch Foreigners are all there.
The Lineup is stronger then WCS was last weekend.

QXC attended to the Qualifier, won it an then fortified because no pay... Replacement could not be found, because 2nd and 3rd/4th also said no pay, no go.

So Xeno should be the replacement it think.
oh ok thanks. Do you know what the score of the final was by any chance? it wasn't on LP or challonge

will tune in for sure though. these are the best events year in year out. last time the flash/parting finals was epic even though protoss bullshit
Underwhelming? :O I actually believe its a very good LineUp.
Best Zerg and Terran outside of Korea (Snute, Bunny) Currently 2nd in WCS Finals (Lilbow) Current GSL Champion (Rain) Former HSC Champion and Protoss god (PartinG) Still very good Koreans with GuMiHo/Patience/Sacsri/HyuN MarineLorD, HeroMarine, ShoWTimE some of the finest non-Koreans

I think the lineup is very good and the groups look extremely fun to me. Sure a Flash or FanTaSy would've been sick, but still.
But NarutO you are killing me for not even mentioning Jaedong under "Still very good Koreans" .

I agree. I like the invited Koreans, and basically every foreigner who achieved something in WCS this year is there. I'm pretty hyped.

Very excited to have the GSL champ there, I really wonder if TLO can score some points here because another solid finish in WCS from him or Bunny and they're going to have a real shot at top 16 for the finals.

As Kinguin sponsors the tournament and Key-sellers cant sponsor WCS tournaments 2015, this tournament does not give a single WCS Point. To sad they still use the WCS Mappool.

Probably not but I doubt he comes to HSC to win.
Then again he has already beaten good players since he went back to school and Namshar and HuK belong to the realm of beatable players for him I'd say.

Razer has dropped completely indeed, but afaik they now use gear (keyboard, mouse) from thermaltake, while PCs/Screens are provided by Acer and Mifcom.
PartinG's tournament to lose. He might lose to Rain if they play each other early on, but will beat him if they meet past Ro8.
Rain will kill nerds left and right early on, looking unstoppable and poised to take the title. Then he will lose in spectacular fashion somewhere deep in the playoffs.
