So South American and Asian titles are worthless or what? Who came up with that (sorry to say but) crap?
there's the link to the original thread on the bottom of that liquipedia page if you bothered to scroll in the fury over a fun thing invented on the Internet
No Canada stop? What did we do to hurt you IEM!? I promise we'll treat you right. We have history together now! We-- we'll make you feel good. Come back to us IEM...

Toronto already has 2 tournaments this year, so they decided not to overcrowd the only city in Canada according to tournament orginizers

Im pretty sure none of them includes sc2, atleast not the first one, would be weird since they usually invite the german champion & the finals of that championship would be during the IEM tournament then /= And they didnt play Sc2 @ last IEM cologne too...
Only thing to make IEM the best in the world would be if it added DOTA to its list of games HOWEVER, that is to make it the best place in the world for ESPORTS. Now it just is the best period.
As long as the player pool is good I will try to go to the San Jose one this time. Only a few hours from me. I regret not going to the one last december.

I think that atleast 1 of them has to include sc2, not having a national champion isnt a reason to not do the tournament. Last year the IEM in the ESL studio didnt had sc2, and there was no IEM at Gamescom. I guess the studio event could be LoL only again, but they had an SC2 only event last year in Toronto. Maybe that will take place at the Gamescom this year. Would make sense, since Riot is most likely doing their own LoL tournament there like they did last time.

Riot already confirmed they have 0 presence at Gamescom.

So IEM Colongne Studio will (like this year) be LoL only and ESL burns the big guns with SC II and CS:GO at the Gamescom? Wont be the finals of the ESL Meisterschaft be also there?

Which games will be at which events will be announced in due time.
Somehow i also feel that a foreign company would do well in corea. They tend to avoid it since they already have their own thing but another way of doing thing could be beneficial for them. Maybe the crowd could like it more, maybe the players would. I'm pretty sure i'd be packed ! (and with crazy lineup / bracket ).
and south korea really has a cool visa policy. Most europeans, asians AND amercians AND russians can go there for 90 days without even getting a visa. Pretty much tournament heaven.

Why should they? iirc the SC2 area wasn't full last year, while the LoL area was. Just be glad they're still probably doing SC2 and not dropping it like everyone else.

If the 6th of which is to include SC2, namely, IEM Katowice World Championship, what about the preceding 5 events?
Edit: Sorry, misread. So this is the 6th season it has included SC2.

Cologne twice and neither one with Starcraft? That would suuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
Ya it seems like a silly move to me, though if we were to go off straight viewer numbers, having Sc2 at all would be silly so I guess we have to be grateful it's being done at all.

Really want IEM san jose for starcraft, i think the CS crowd and league of legend crowd would over power each other and actually just get in teh way of each other. if you went to iem san jose last year , you would hear league of legends cheering over starcraft - which is fine but if its the size of a counter strike audience then they would be cheering at different times and be distracting.
