There one minor sliver of hope was that Zoun ended up becoming a great player, but of course as soon as any player on Prime shows even sort of good play they get scooped up by a rich team and we'll probably never see Zoun in Proleague again. God I hope something good happens to them soon, cause something is rotten on Prime. Nothing is rotten on Prime, they just don't have the money to retain players. You should be disgusted with the big teams that buy players and bury their carreers on the bench ![]()

If Prime's dead, then Axiom is already buried. They have less players, those they have are of similar average quality (by Korean standards) than Prime's. Like Prime, Axiom also just lost their biggest talent to a rich team and I don't see them suddenly having the funds to fill up a full competitive proleague roster, since TB can't go a month without stressing how strapped for cash they are but making it work anyway. Maybe AxiomPrime can be thing next year or so.

I get that they're introducing some players into the progaming life, but they can't even pay them a minimal salary. If, after all this time, Prime still hasn't been able to secure themselves as an organization that's worth playing (and paying) for, then the players have every reason to leave that team. but #passion I guess

They have few players that give the team exposure, even fewer that compete for anything of sponsor interest. Acquiring a sponsor for Prime is many times harder than it would be for a team with SKT's or Jin Air's roster. And when players on their roster - the only roster in Proleague to really give exposure to true rookies - improve, they are immediately poached. It's not about liking or not liking Prime, it's about sympathizing with the difficulty of their situation, a hole which is going to be extremely difficult to get out of.

Prime have been around since the very beginning, always surviving without a major sponsor. They've stayed as SC2 declines, they've seen much bigger and more important and successful teams die, like Slayers, IM, TSL, STX Soul, etc. And other, richer teams take away their players as soon as they show promise. And yet Prime continues to fight, as hopelessly as a small child tries to kick the waves at the beach. One can't help but cheer for the child.

And the reason I cheer for Prime is because I always did. They used to be the best team in the world. I'll stick with them at the highest highs. But also at the lowest of lows. That's when they need it the most

That rule was already dubious at best and now this. That's so unnerving... If I'm not mistaken the rule applies when you break your contract (Parting's case) but not when it expires (Life's and -prolly- Zoun's case).

Expiration in the middle of Proleague year? But yeah I'm probably missing something. Though I doubt Parting contract would still be running. Meanwhile, Apple, Google & co are facing hundreds of millions of liability in California for no-poaching agreements.

Well I fully support big companies monopolizing the SC2 scene. It's better than some little team trying to fight for nothing. The big teams have resources that little teams don't. I don't get people who support small teams. It's like support those small mom and pop shops. It contributes nothing to anything in the long run. Yes, you are helping out a few people, but it's nothing sustainable. Do you think they will even remember you when they hit it big? You'll get treated as another ATM machine to them. It's much better to let big companies stomp out or buy out the little companies. The little companies have so few resources that it does not even put up competition for the big companies to bother putting money towards R&D to innovate.
