Not shocking. Prop doesn't seem very restrictive on what you can say. Morrow has stopped giving fucks a long time ago and the scene is better for it. Hopefully without these rigid team restrictions Naniwa fan thrive in this environment.

massive risk for the team but it's probably worth the media exposure for the few months that he manages to be on that team.

I'm not even a Naniwa fan but even I can recognize he is the best foreigner out there. He and Scarlett seem to be the only two foreigners who had this "Why can't we be as good as the Koreans?" mentality. So many other people do interviews you get the impression they are fine being the big fish on the EU ladder but have accepted their fate as never being able to compete with top end Korean talent. Naniwa doesn't believe he is inferior to Korean talent and gets frustrated when he is not -- which only makes him practice harder.

I'm happy he hasn't been picked up by a team that I support.
Good luck to him and to Property, hopefully being on a legit team with sponsors and all will make him learn some manners and professionalism.

Considering his ability to practice hard and analyze the game correctly, he is one of the most professional players out there. Of course, he kind of...lacks professionalism in other areas...sometimes. But I like him, as he's a really unique player and a pretty funny guy. (Just watch him on the latest Remax episodes, he's hilarious sometimes.)

I could see this poll broken into 2 polls: same question, but head vs heart.

Even though Naniwa is always abrasive and sometimes BM, he's always honest, and he is probably the best foreigner out there when in his prime.

Because qualifying for WCS after like 3 weeks of practice is such an insignificant feat

Yeah, because dude's been doing anything but playing starcraft since he "retired".

Signing Naniwa a great step towards your goal of having the most skilled players.

I love how all this player bashing is just allowed to go on and is now just par for the course for this forum which is supposed to hold itself to a higher regard especially in that fashion. People make mistakes and do shitty things sometimes. But we're all human and sometimes we fuck up more than others even tho we might not see exactly what we're doing in that moment. But I guess you're all perfect right?? You can judge another person and treat them like this? One of the most entertaining players in our community and I'm talking about in-game.

So how about we stop living by two sets of rules.... the ones for Naniwa and the rules for everyone else. Its fucked up. And if it was you being treated like this FOR YEARS by thousands of people I bet you'd end up being more aggressive than less too. How about we stop openly bashing this guy and just see if things turn out better for everyone??

Yeah right.... like it'd ever actually happen. Not with all these drama feeding trolls whose lives are miserable so they feel the need to put down everyone else they judged as deserving of their hate. And a forum that no longer polices them for player-bashing like they do for everyone else.

Where is the player bashing exactly? I mostly see happy people and people who don't care/joke a bit on the (well known) fact that Naniwa is a colorful character.

There's a difference between player bashing and commenting/joking on how a player acts/acted in the past. The latter is respectful. There's no player bashing in this thread.

@SicPro : Look at NaNiwa's twitter. He choses to fuel the drama himself, so he's no different than the "drama feeding trolls whose lives are miserable so they feel the need to put down everyone else" that you talk about. And no, living by two sets of rules would be excusing someone's behavior under the fact that he is talented and succesful.

Right on, now time for somebody to sign Major, if only so the battle for most teams a player has been on can continue.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Ofc it hasn't been flawless, neither has mine. We're all human.

-I don't really mind Naniwa being criticized. Although him being signed to a family-like team could've atleast been a nice thread. Although that is of course to ask for too much :p
