Perhaps he's had enough of being in the spotlight outside of KR. Maybe he feels like he's achieved everything possible outside of KR, and now wants to officially test his mettle against the best. I mean it is human nature to never satisfy with what you've got and seek more. Eitherway I wish him the best of luck, and is actually looking excitedly forward to see him in action!
Edit
Im not trying to undermine GSL here, im just pointing out that he might want to compete with the top players (again). What He is saying that Life wants to do well in korean tournaments instead of foreign ones, i think i would agree with that

He says "he wants to officially test his mettle against the best" as if Life hasn't already done that and won

True, but the essence isn't that wrong. Life probably wants to win some korean tournaments this year, instead of "only" foreign weekend tournaments

Wouldn't you consider Blizzcon a "Korean tournament" since it was all Koreans. Yeah there were some lesser players there but it was a stacked field nonetheless.

But.. but..
Life... He is so good. Why would you not root for KT
I just kind of decided to start rooting for KT instead of usual SKT.
SKT threw all their chances with Soulkey / Rain / Parting leaving. KT only looks beter and beter esp with Life on board now!
