Interesting pickup. I guess he won't be inactive any more?
|
Back when MajOr started on ROOT I should have made a bet on how many times he'd leave ROOT. Grats to Goswser though. I wonder what will MajOr do team-wise.
|
Root gaming is quickly building up a reputation as a rotating door.
|
I'm unfamiliar with SolO was he added recently?

Wonder what journey MajOr is going on this time
|
Goswser has been one of the better Zerg players in NA for a long time. Major....honestly why would you sign him. No team loyalty and he hasn't really won anything major. Sure he is talented. I feel bad for root .
|
One of Major's longer tenures with a team clocking in just shy of seven months. Wonder where he'll go next.
Glad to see Goswser back as he has had some pretty great moments in the past.
|
good luck to both/congrats to Gowser
|
Major is so high skilled. But he cant stick with a team and he gets allways ill when he shouldnt be... ah damn. But his skill... what a mess
|
imo Major should fly solo for a while so he can figure out on his own what he wants to do. He seems conflicted all the time, missing events, etc. Good luck to him.

Goswser doesn't seem very ROOT, but I guess Catz is prepared to give everyone a stint if he thinks they can provide a benefit.

It's like what, 4th time Major leaves Root? :D
|
So how long til Major is back on ROOT? He's been on and off ROOT I think 3 times right?
|
So how many times has major left and joined root now? 4-5?
|
I dont know what to think about ROOT. They got this 5k$ a month teamhouse eating all of their flowing money, take alot of pros, move them there and when the pros get a better contract from another team, they leave again...
In the last remax they talked about ROOT like being a Clan with a big team house. When nothing goes, you move there, improve and when a team asks you, you leave ROOT again.
Major joins ROOT maybe in 2 month again... or he moves to Korea like he did 2 years ago.
|
CatZ posted on reddit he is trying to make the team a bit more stable mainly for sponsorship reasons. Major was asked to leave the team (and to his credit he agreed and didn't throw a fit) because he was so difficult to work with and make him do anything. So I don't think Major leaving is a huge sign of the apocalypse for the team. I mean -- its major. I also think WCS NA really helps out root having an NA team house. It should provide a bit of reliable income based upon prize money. It will probably be *the* team and team house for WCS NA.
|
told you major wasnt gonna last half a year well actually he did but just barely so
|
Hm after reading the Reddit post from Catz, I think Root will have a good year if they stay on track. Streamlining their roster is a good move and they should have a solid presence in WCS this year and maybe even a champion with Hydra.

It's Goswser, not Goswer :o
I guess MajOr will come back for the 127th time in 3-5 months.

Nah CatZ has Hydra now, no need to baby his best talent anymore. He has to learn on his own.

majOr is going on his annual tour in the desert to be tested by Satan, and then come back and enlighten us with his words.

Because he left the team after the Captain asked him to do so?

Why isn't Rotterdam earn any money in being on the team?
|
So, hum, why is Major leaving? What is the reason behind it? Glad to see Gosu back btw.

Catz quote from reddit: "MajOr can be hard to deal / manage at times, things as simple as making him use the overlays can be difficult. We are in the process of resigning with sponsors and trying to develop a stable team and atmosphere and I think it's best we're all in the same page. I talked to Juan and we agreed it'd be best if we part ways."
Pretty standard for Major.
|
back in the day it was funny how major acted the way he joined and left teams. but now... years later he just needs to either make up his mind or play on his own. players always seem to mature but how old is this guy? I hate it for anyone, but he seems to just be digging himself his own hole. :/ Still, good luck to goswser, major, and ROOT!
|
Major the rebel. Not using overlays!

Is there a bet pool on when MajOr goes back to ROOT?

Nice to see goswser back. I'm sure major will be back on root eventually

Major tends to get a lot of flak, but I can't help but feel that he always brings on himself. Anyway, good for Root that they're streamlining their team.

Hydra and Supernova teaching the other chobos - gotta root for Root

Oh Major. The way it's worded makes it sound like there were issues with Major. And Major obviously gives no shits about anything, so perhaps that's what "in the best interest for both parties" means.
Think how wicked it'd be if Major joined up with Naniwa, making the best foreign SC2 player duo. Humorously, both of them have pretty bad team relation skills.

In the past, hasn't there been a larger section to such releases detailing why MajoR has left? Before his contract expires, and almost an afterthought given to him in this information release... can't help but feel either it wasn't on the best of terms this time, or it's literally become "Here we go again, who gives a shit".

There needs to be a teamhouse/team of Naniwa, Major, Scarlett, Huk, Kane, and Idra. Team Drama Dreamsquad. Best foreign team ever too.

EXACTLY! I'd give it about a month before someone stabbed another one.

PR 101 is to emphasize positive news when you have it. So they're trying to emphasize "We signed one of the best Zergs in America! Also, we had to part ways with Major. But dude, we signed a guy who made Top 4 at a Dreamhack in Heart of the Swarm!"

MajOr should be the MC of the foreign scene. Fly solo-ish but have connections with teams.

Major barbie princess in and out of ROOT like a diva

Major seems like such a prima donna.

I have to remind myself that some birds (Major) aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice...

Seriously ROOT is the best house for players. I don't have a clue about salary but they give players visibility and a chance to improve. I never saw ROOT as a transition house/team. They simply do different then most teams; Passion seems to be a bigger word then money. All my respect to Catz and his wonderful organisation.
